Pt. Harish Tiwari started his Musical endeavor under the guidance of Guru Thakur Choubey in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. Inspite of taking taleem from the Gwalior Gharana Harish still had the passion and longing to learn the Kirana Gharana style of Pt. Bhimsen Joshi. It was only after a recommendation from the great theatre person B.V. Karanth, that Joshiji agreed to accept Harish Tiwari in the mode of "Guru-Shishya Parampara". Harish Tiwari has been awarded ‘A’ GRADE in Hindustani vocal music by A.I.R. Delhi.

Worthy disciple of a worthy Gurujee. He had an onerous responsibility to keep Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi jee's lamp burning. He has not only done so but has carried this lamp burning brighter. Fantastic performance that brings to the fore his rigorous riyaaz, wonderful full throated voice like his GuruJee and above all, his rendering jeweled with aesthetics!!!!

I also liked the fact that there so less likes.. (now a days you get likes to cats videos like they are the ultimate :) ) .. the fact I like it less likes is less people noticed this yet.. it is therefore my own secret and can stay that way.. Otherwise commercialisation can spoil lots of arts :)
