I've got 30M views on one edit, what can i say is: Use an op idea, make the user watching with text or music and colors, use viral audios or make sure that they got you listening for some reason, impress the user. And remember, the people is the algorithm.

my experience with the yt algorithm:-
At the start everything was going well,I was getting good views,I was improving my editing skills. All went preety good until I took a break from my channel for a bit(had exams and after that i had no motivation) . When i came back and started making edit, my edits were dead,like literally dead. I started editing in Ae a few days ago (maybe 4-7) and i am still in that phase but ik if ill be consistent with my edits. Ill get more views
This made me realise that if u make good edits and be consistent,u will get recognition after a period of time
