Few more adjustments done to the Kanga-Ax24 and some of the tire hook drop lines, with fails.

  • I show a few more of the mods Ive done to this rig to get the performance even better outta it. When the runs start there are a min or 2 of failed attempts to show just how difficult this carpet mountain can be.

Thanks Radio!!! The Kangaroo chassis is awesome and has made this thing unreal awesome, fully build the chassis only weighs 21g. I was debating this or that Scythe and went with this as its like 4-5x cheaper and seems to do amazing with the Ax24 set up inside it. Its crazy what this thing can climb and drop now :) Woot Woot!

Thanks man! Its been a tough road trying to make this Ax24 as good as I can. Saw Bcochener build a rig with this Kangaroo chassis so I knew instantly the Ax24 would be perfect in it.. and this thing is insane now with what it can do.

Here is the parts list I gave to someone else so Ill repost it here for you too.
I took the Ax24 after many many attempts to try to fix its horrible self lol and made it into a Gladiator length rig, still a 24th scale. And for a parts list, sure thing! :)
Injora Brass wheels, what ever kinda u like, with or without a negative offset.
Glad length Links in what ever colour you want.
Mofo RC Black Label servos with servo mounts. Or Emax servos with RampCrab servo mounts in what ever colour.
RampCrab steering arm in what ever colour u dig.
Proline Trenchers tires, I might try out some Baja Pro X with it too so keep options for tires open.
5mm Hex extensions or wheel weights with the Hex extension built in.
Furitek Stinger Combo, u get the Micro Komodo motor with the Lizard Pro ESC.
      Kangaroo Chassis from Injora.
Injora 43 or 48mm shocks in what ever colour u like.
Injora skidplate in what ever colour u want.
Injora Gladiator length metal drive shafts.
A mod I want to do is get better axles for it so it has higher turning angles, some metal ones but not sure what ones just yet, many options on that to pick from. MOFO RC, LGRP, Meus, Injora so many to choose from.
Gens Ace Adventure 400mah battery cause its nice and skinny and fits into this build extremely well.
Another thing Ive done is a lead sticky weight mod I put into the wheels around the bead lock ring, it adds around 25g of hidden weight and its awesome for that extra traction.
I think thats about it, just looking at the thing and I cant see anything else that is here but not on the list.
Hope this helps you out if your going to make one for yourself. If you dont have the Ax24 yet but want something like this, dont buy the ax, just buy its receiver or something with a 4ws system and avoid it. As right now there are only 3 parts from it in this rig, once I get 2 new axles there will only be the receiver left. So you dont need to spend money on it. Happy building!
EDIT: Oh yea, and 2 sets of brass steering knuckles of w/e brand u like. :)

I don't know much about crawlers. will this crawler get a body? Or is it in a class that does not need one? I am impressed the way it does crawl.

    • @DurpVonFronz
      @DurpVonFronz  Před 4 měsíci +1

It has one from the Ax24 but in this chassis it doesnt need it at all. This is by far the most fun crawler Ive got too since putting the nightmare that is the Ax24 into this Kangaroo chassis from Injora :)

Wow that is sweeet, I’m totally a 1/10 guy but def have a little 1/24 and UTB18 going here and there….but that is sweet. Have a texanoma chassis sitting there I wanna do.
You got band em especially in front.
I’m huge fan of it and try and convince everyone else of it.
In my 1/10 I band the front on my 1/24 I have it all banded….brekover not as much of an issue with a small wheel base.
That was some nice moves dude.
    Very cool indoor course!!
Huge sub and like love it dude!
    Check me out sometime

Thanks man again! :) Ive also got a couple 1/10ths, the Defender all modded up and a RedCat Danchee, its the same price as these scx24s and comes 4ws and crazy flex to it, very fun rig with a bit of mods.
I band all my rigs cause of how flexy they are, was trying to not band the rear of the Kanga-Ax24 but ended up needing it for the downhilling parts, now its unreal what it can do for a 24th.
That Texoma chassis seems really deadly too, the RC guys in the live streams are always talking about it and how much they love em, so its gotta be a pretty killer chassis.
Thanks, the driving on this course is so unlike anything else Ive seen out there, super fun to run on. Most assume its really grippy and can walk up lines like nothing, its not, its actually pretty slippery, more so cause its in the cat room and there are 2 litter boxes in the corner. So that dust from that gets every which adds to the difficulty :)

Are you running overdrive as well?

    • @DurpVonFronz
      @DurpVonFronz  Před 4 měsíci

Underdrive to slow everything down. Its a 33% UD in the rear, I honestly think that UD is the way to go for crawlers. Unless u want more wheels speed that is. I tested this thing and it took over 2mins to go 10cm.. LOL its soo slow its awesome.
