Yea the T8 BZ 176 prem is easily the best tank in the tree, much like the Obj 703 prem so we have seen this before.
@@Battleneter still, the obj 703 is very good but I never felt like it was broken or unfair as much as I think the bz is. Bz is singlehandedly making tier 8 mm painful to play. A tank can take more than half of your hp's so easily shouldn't exist.
@@aletir6111 yea I duuno, I have bad runs in the BZ, it derps a lot of shots and hard to pen half decent armor, other games sure are great. This remind me of the hysteria over the Cobra, how many of them do we see lately on the battlefield :P

Well, finaly a balanced one. Turbo and Alpha on the + side and Armor with weakspots as a counter. nice.
To be honest, this armor layout would work on tier VIII prem and the bz-176 would work on tier X.
@@xxjakublochxx Kinda but not really at all. Bz has no weakspots but at tier 10 it's an autopen with gold ammo. To pen bz75 you have at least to aim and hit the weakspots

Dispersion when moving is pretty good on these guns. Even without equipment the handling is better than 60tp with stabs. Turbo also has additional effect while boosting on these vehicles giving +6 km/h topspeed instead of only 4 km/h.
Rammer, turbo and aiming unit seems like a strong combo (in high tier). maybe rammer, turbo and optics/vents for less experienced crew and on lower tiers as both the tier 7/8 have 350 meters base view range.

@@phoeni79x I mean, most definitely not ''because of law issues''. It's simply put an unofficial policy of WG to not nerf premiums as the last time they did that, players were quite upset to put it mildly.
Like, Gaijin has no issue nerfing their premiums for the sake of historical accuracy (i.e. bug reports with official documents can make a vehicle better or worse), and BR changes (which affects the matchmaking in War Thunder, in WoT terms it would mean a vehicle could go up from being a tier 7 to being a tier 8, or gain/lose pref. MM) are a common occurence to keep things balanced (not saying its effective, but its their policy).
Its all about company policy, and WG simply does not want to nerf premiums, because in the end it makes them money, and nerfing them would lose them customers as well.

I like how this tank is balanced. Fun new mechanic, decent speed and gun, and some weakspots. Not every new tank needs to be broken for people to want it, it just needs to be different and interesting.
Some weakspots? It have the weakest armor out of all tier 10 heavies and can only snipe from the back
Skilllll.... Pls review the tier 7 BZ58.. I think it's the best tier 7 HT now.. Manage to complete HT13 HT14 Obj 260 mission yesterday and now rocking a 70% win rate over 40 games... The boost and upgraded turret makes this tank... Stock gun is also pretty good and I prefer stock gun haha
Hi Skill, love your videos. I have a question, how to you think about this tank compare with WZ111-5? Feels like both of them are 'fast' HT with not much armor.
Basically, we have a tier 8 premium that dominates in one on one against the tech tree tier 10.

If only OBJ 279e had those cupolas it would be much nicer to play the game
279e is broken but for me... chieftain is by far the worst oponnent of all... you can penetrate obj 279e to copula, its no very big but i am still hitting them quite succesfully and you can penetrate it without gold with is7 quite sucessfully , it doesnt mean that tank is not op.. its hilariously broken, but for me not as much as Chief. Especialy unicorns in Chieftain are just unbeatable by way to many vehicles.
You can heat straight through the UFP with 330-340 heat about 50% of the time, 420yoloswag heat deletes it.

Its good that the tank have weekpoints, we do not need to release broken line, like 279e standards. Just have to be diferit kind of tank, with this boost mode.
I get the weakspot part but why 3 cupolas and why around 170 effective armor? 2 cupolas with 200 and 220 effective armor would make more sense.

I noticed skill discussed blindshots in this video. This is a tip I never see mentioned, and it actually won me a 2v7 game with a toon mate just last week. This tip requires a very short game-mechanics lesson. When your peaking a corner, as long as an enemy has "clear vision" of your vehicle, meaning it is shootable regardless of whether or not or would pen. (excluding proxy spot) you will get spotted. If you do get spotted while slow peaking a corner, using map knowledge you can easily gauge where an enemy might be hiding. Think of it as a cone of vision. An example would be peaking the central castle gate on redshire from the right side of the wall. When slow/tight peaking, if you get spotted early, you can assume the enemy is on the northern spawn ridge, if you get spotted a little later you assume they are in the bushes in the middle of the dip. If you get spotted spotted very late you assume they are on the south spawn ridge.

I sniped a kill on one of these with my 1008 from the far side of Glacier while he was up on the main glacier itself with a blind fire. I have no idea where I penned him, but it was glorious.
Looks like a fun tank to play and not broken happy to see weak spots. Maybe this line is worth going for.
I think this tank will get a little worse over time because people will have time to practice and learn about the weakspots but still looks like a very nice tank. Glad WG made this tank, this is how most should be!

Like the rino line, seems the tier 9 of the bz line has the better armor than the tier 10 (Atleast, tier for tier)
I like how these tanks are. They are moving away from hulldown meta, and that is very good.
Auto pen is not a meta for heavy tank. KV-4, E50 and Obj 430 have more armor

What is funny... is the fact that Tier 9 is better than Tier 10 at least in terms of sidescrape, but as for Tier 10 it is actually really nice becasue it cna work but at the same time it can be faced by you and you have some chances to pen it
First three matches of newly bought Ttanks always have -500% RNG.
Maybe this should be tested after 10games or so?

SKIIILLL ! you must love this tank because your the commander(in my garage). I have the Skill camo on the prem but transferred your crew over yesterday. Already in the first ten games I did the heavy tank bounce mission ....lol So at least on NA server people dont know where to shoot, yet :) Am playing it like a heavy medium and already replaced gun rammer with vert. stabs. and its able to snipe a bit. Its more accurate then the BZ176 with that set up and with the long reload its dpm is trash already.
This tank is basically a WZ 5A that trades armor for speed and alpha damage
They need to add weakspots to all hull down tanks! And we will all enjoy aiming and gaming ...
It is so laughable, tier 10 has worse armor than the premium tier 8 bz, xD. Especially, turret. On the positive side, it looks balanced, something in between amx 54 and 60 tp

I am actually happy that they are adding something with pretty obvious weak spots. It is kind of too much, but it feels like a step in the right direction for me. Making new tanks OP makes the players want to play it sure. But some players will just quit if this policy would continue.

After the panic over the Premium tank, I thought maybe they had jumped the shark, then jumped the next one, but these are pretty balanced.

No thanks, I'm a dark blue purple player and those are 100% needed since many tanks do not even have weak spots anymore. The weak spots on old tanks are obvious, not so much on new tanks with different hull shapes, no cupolas, spaced armor you can't see, etc.
Edit: And by the way it's not just me saying this, super unicorns like Circon have mentioned this for years already how changes like this severely affect gameplay from what the game teaches you and how to pen an enemy tank. What could be a weakspot on one tank may not be a weakspot on another. After returning for not playing for years this is 100% true. Each gun also has different pen values so you can keep a general idea of what it takes to pen what tank. Example, the object 430 cupolas are not actual "weak" spots. So if you shoot at them with standard rounds in most tanks, you would probably bounce. The pen indicator will tell you that and save you a lot of time. This not only helps the enemy but your team as well so why would you want it removed? It's far too helpful to remove for everyone involved including unicorns. I don't want to spend hours upon hours anymore learning every single tank in this game, I want to shoot shit now.

Lesson here is watch all the shots he misses out on because of the constant moving around even when not lit or in a crossfire spot. He had the opportunity to take 3 of those flankers in the last match but missed the chance due to ants in the pants.

I think overall is a step in the right direction with the weak spots,the speed is good especially with boosters and the gun is also good but my problem with this tank is that i feel like the dmg is a bit too high.Maybe it is just me but i feel like there are a lot of new tanks that do high amounts of damage.Anyways gg skill ,love your vids,and keep up the good work!

Tier VIII premium is better than tier X from a tech tree, now this is an another treshhold achieved by WG.
In the first battle there was fun not allowed of course.
Nobody needs to learn the tanks weak spots due to API one quick swipe of the turret and your good to go.

I love the looks of the turret though. The 1224 is basically the father of Chinas modern MBTs. However, I despise the hull, from a looks POV. A 1950s (basically) IS-3, I know it's from the WZ-111, hull really doesn't fit the late 70s budget Leopard-2 turret. It would be way cooler if the tank had the same (or a simmilar) hull as the tier 9 (wich is a elongated type-80 hull)

9,10,11 perks on the crue, not fair enouth, minimum roll for me today was 500dmg on pp and HE 905 max dmg 7k 5 kills M 😀

Despite of the strength of the tank as it’s too early to say, I do think that this tech line should have an alternative gun option per tier, just in terms of playability.

From this new Heavy tank line, The Tier VII one is average the Tier VIII one is okayish, but still average the premium Tier VIII is BROKEN META and the Tier IX one actually decent. I highly recommend you guys to try it! Do not skip it, give it a try. It is very very decent. The amount of weakspots in hulldown is small, and the turret is like how to say.. Better than 50-50. I researched all the tech tree till tier IX(From free exp) because I already played with the Tier IX in the test server and it was actually okay for me, and for some reason better than the Tier X one. Skill, make a video about the Tier IX one, Iam pretty sure you will like it. It is very very good, at least for me! 345mm turret armor in hull down in tier IX + it is actually very very hard to hit it(Small turret) if you are moving and not standing still. The gun handling is like ehh but you not sniping with this heavy tanks. I liked the tier IX one better than every single one of them(Yes, I liked better than the Tier VIII premium because it is more competitive..) Yes, the tier IX one is the way to go. BUT IT IS MY OPINION. My opinion is like pinch of salt or how to say. Like nothing. However I still want to see Mr. Skill playing in the tier IX and giving us opinions etc. So Skill, please!
I think, the techtree tanks are well balanced ... Funfact ... BZ-176 can easily pen the weakspot with over 800, but in return you struggeling to pen front of BZ-176^^ ... btw. next OP/broken Hulldown shit 116-F6 incomming ...

WG need to switch tier 8 premium and tier 10.
Give some hp buff to tier 8 one and take away some hp from tier 10 one and we are good to go.
I still think tanks need weak spots like that. Seeing it from the heavy tank point of view: if you sit hulldown against each other, you can still penetrate each other somehow. Which is fine. But seeing, lets say from a medium point of viev and you play heavy against medium face to face more or less. The heavy only has the weak points in the cupola, but the medium is a driving weak point itself. The medium still needs to aim for it, the heavy can just fart the rough direction of the medium and penetrate him everywhere...So yes, having weak spots on the heavies is a good thing.
weakpoints are ok and should be mandatory - but it still has a nice gun
I would rather play the Rhino with a Turbo and just do everything better with the added bonus of an autoreloader.
