So at 0:48, the clones you see there are Clone Commandos...particularly a group known as Delta Squadron. They first appeared in their own game from a while back, Star Wars: Republic Commando. An older game, but still holds up very well to this day, and one that folks are always wishing for a sequel to.

This episode saved that clone commando team "Delta Squad" from getting axed from canon. They are from the game "Clone Commando".
8:54 Ventress does in fact try to go at Dooku at the same time Savage does, the problem is Dooku is always keeping Savage either between them, or way out of reach. Also Savage's double-bladed lightsaber is probably around 7 feet long, and they're in a confide space, so it's hard to coordinate. If Savage was more skilled it could work, but as Ventress noted to Talzin he wasn't ready at the time.

Fun fact: the scene of Dooku training Savage to lift the monoliths is a direct reference to Luke failing to lift his X-Wing out of the swamp in TESB, right down to Savage words ("What you ask is impossible" and "You want the impossible")

Yes, its a warped version of Jedi training. And Dooku was a Jedi for over 60 years we have to remember, he's just fallen so far, that this is his method of training his apprentices now, to bring out hate and anger to artificially boost up in the force.

Dooku: You will sleep on these rocks, to fuel your hatred even more... but mostly because we can't really make a proper bed for you.
One of the best arcs of the third season. But further there will be story arcs, some of which will be even cooler and even better.
P.s. The clones from the beginning of the episode are the elite clone commandos, the main characters of the Republic Commando game. Therefore, they also have non-standard armor, not like ordinary clones.

I love the contrast in skill when Obi and Ani come to Dathomir. They show up to the village of men and basically beat them no contest, even holding back. Then they go to visit the Nightsisters and they have them at arrow point after a few steps off the ship, really illustrates the power dynamic here.

looking back at this and knowing dooku was the padawan of yoda it's clearly a reference to luke's training with yoda where he struggle with lifting the ship saying to his master : you ask the impossible
And then when yoda shows him he say: "I can't believe it"
yoda famously replying: "that is why you fail"
The big twist: Maul lives...

I know its hard to remember because of all the destruction he causes, but please remember tat Savage is a victim as well. Enslaved by the Nightsisters, only to be selected as a pawn for Ventresses revenge, twisted by their dark magic into being a killing machine. If you really look at it, his story is really sad.

Those clones at the start were Clone Commando’s, specifically Delta Squad. They are the main characters in the game Republic Commando (Great tactical shooter). The orange one speaking is Boss. Green guy is Fixer. Yellow and black is Scorch. And the one with red is Sev.

Looks like this episode's fun facts have been covered by other comments. Delta Squad is one of my favorite cameos of the series. Republic Commando is a great game, very different from most Star Wars games I've played.
Also RIP King Katuunko. He showed up in the very first episode of the show and made us realize that Watto doesn't represent Toydarians very well.

Yeaaahhhhh this is where deaths of Star Wars start to get weird. Especially since nowadays stab wounds aren't fatal to anyone besides Han Solo and Qui Gon Jin. But as dumb as Maul coming back is, he is raw, unbridled, fury, power, and ruthlessness. With an INCREDIBLE voice actor.

Them boys is Delta Squad. They were so good they got their own game, and even got retconned back into service when Disney changed the timeline. Aside from the Imperial March, they have the best theme song in Star Wars. As per my earlier post on the initial Talzin video, Dathomiri women select mates by combat potential or intelligence, preferably both, it is not a kind ritual.
As stated elsepost, Dooku's life was over when Maul's name was mentioned. While the events of his death are known, you'll now learn why he was with Palpatine at the end, when discretion was always the better part of valor on his part.
In Star Wars if your pissed off enough you could survive pretty much anything

Good old Delta Squad, recanonised by this one little scene at the beginning and a little bit in bad batch.
That is Delta Squad by the way. One of best commando units in the grand army of the republic. They went on some serious missions. Genonosis to assassinate a leader, trandosion slaver operation takedowns, even the Wookie home world to gain enemy gun to take down ships. They are elite and have taken zero g mission by themselves. Not black ops but close. They basically are like the army rangers. Bad batch was like the black ops that went in if secrecy was needed. Commandos were more that the republic needed to make a big statement.
And so it begins....
The Pistachio Comment was gold lol love the reactions as always! The clone troopers at the beginning were Commando Clones and they have a fantastic game featuring them that came out long ago! The Clone Wars continues to get better from here, Maul is one of the best characters in Star Wars.

As for the Nightsisters, yes some fantastic lore behind them and it's great to see them on screen in Clone Wars.

8:50 So Dooku's lightsaber form is form 2 also called MAKASHI, its the best one on one dueling style for lightsaber to lightsaber and Dooku was a master at this form, also his unique handle on his lightsaber gave him an edge this is why he was able to get cuts off against Obi-Wan in the second film, the Form is also very good at disarming strikes.
Form 2 not so great at one vs many opponants but its usable, its also weak to very heavy attacks so if Dooku faced a Wookie Jedi then Dooku would have issues its also weak to a decent Form 5 or Shien user like Akakin in the third film (Think someone using a Rapier to fight someone with a Greatsword), the real downside to this Form is its really bad for deflecting blaster fire, so really the best group to fight Dooku would be a gun line of Clones.
I agree it would have been very cool to see the night sisters in live action, but you guys will see why they were not in the live action due to the events in the clone wars so...... have fun watching the next episode

I’m definitely not against a Nightsisters spin off for Disney plus. They give so many other well known characters spin offs that give people too high expectations. I feel like with these characters, if they had a good show that would be a pleasant surprise
