Ali Ollie woods on was a good friend of mine back in the 70s in Birmingham,ala he was my drummer before he left ala with the drifters, he sung a lot of songs but nothing like he sung with the temptations, u remember he used to practice that signature high note until he perfected it and got it the way that he wanted it, at the a.g. Gaston motel, he will be deeply missed, he was like my big brother and taught me a lot of things not to do with my voice,, like not to hold certain notes to long and how to breath to last through s show, love you Ollie king johnny

This is in reply to wSaKy. I'm just reading the comment you made about Ollie being cut from the Temps twice. HE WAS NOT CUT. He had to leave twice because of having throat cancer and 2 operations. After he recovered from both operations, he came back. He is/was that good, that they held his lead spot for him.

I came late in appreciation of Mr. Woodson's voice this year. I noticed that all of the songs with him singing lead particularly touched my heart. His voice so enhanced the Temptation's music it was so rich, soulful and unforgrtable.. I hate I missed his live performances. A voice like no other. God bless him.

He would quickly leave the Fox theater or any major concert in Atlanta with the Temptations and make his way straight to Club 731 on Campbleton Rd and jump right on the much smaller stage from where he just did a major performance and me Ollie Tony Young blood and George Stanley from the Pure Sugar Group would finish out the night live driving the audience insane as we sang almost every hit record that was on the top ten at that time. Ollie was the best ever and he had a special affinity for Tony Young blood who Ollie called a singing fool. We had so much fun back in those days.
