Will cast hex has been insanely powerful for years, and yet there hasn't been widespread adoption for some reason. It's literally a bigger damage boost than an entire quint damage mighty pet.

as balance a cleanse charm trained helps deal with weaknesses since any other way balance gets rid of weaknesses also gets rid of your balance blades

If I want a straight up myth damage pet is this the best way to go about it:
Pain giver
Pain Bringer
Myth boon
Myth giver
Mighty
Socket: myth bringer
I already have a myth bringer jewel hence why I chose to just add this last but do the other talents seem to be the best?

If by myth bringer you mean myth dealer, then yes that’s a quint mighty build and gives 33 damage (assuming your pet is 2.0)
