I LOVE IT! Since I make and review horror movies, this is a MUST have for me. Funny enough, I'm sure they didn't realize that "It's a Wonderful Knife," is actually a movie.
I wish “It’s a wonderful Knife” could go back to not being a real movie lol
Glad you like the piece. I'm the guy who designed this for Lemax. I finished this design back in 2021, but it's just getting released now. I didn't know of the "It's a Wonderful Knife" movie, but it seems that is wasn't released until 2023, which was after I had completed this design. I actually pulled that movie title from an old episode of The Simpsons which had a store sign in the background while the family was walking the boardwalk. Another reference : "The Return Of The Curse Of The Creature's Ghost" is from an episode of "Mr. Show". The blob pouring through the door was definitely a homage to the classic Steve McQueen film. Over the past 7 years, I've designed about 60 buildings for Lemax. This building was definitely one of my favorites to work on :)

@@GothicCottage Thank you - much appreciated :) So glad you like the piece. I didn't work on the figures you mentioned (Frank & Bride munching popcorn) but I'm sure the Lemax team added them to the line as companion accessories for the cinema. For the 2024 Spooky Town line I did the : Smoke & Mirrors Magic Shop, The Candy Witch Cottage, and Ferry on River Styx. I completed a larger companion piece for the River Styx Ferry which will be out for 2025, but it's a secret - lol! Some of my past Spooky Town pieces include: The Ghouly Grocer, Ghost Writer's Bookstore, The Witching Hour (clock tower), B.A. Freyed Clocksmith, as well well as others. I work on Lemax Christmas Village buildings as well, but Spooky Town is much more fun to design :D Thanks again!

I’m curious, did you come up with the illusions or did lemax give you suggestions and it was up to you to figure out how to work them in?

The ghost should have been back supported. Not sure why they dangled it with plastic because it sticks out like a sore thumb.
