I learned from a teacher, that a pain in the body that keeps at it, I can sit in silence, take e few conscious breaths, heart felt being thankful and appreciate that my body is doing its best for me, and ask if it is really necessary, and what is the feeling behind it and what original experience is the cause of it. Within the next couple of days, when there is room/time for it, I am suddenly overwhelmed with a very strong feeling that seem to have no cause in the actual moment, and therefore is recognised clearly for what it is. When I manage to stay present with it and allow it to act out for the duration, the physical pain disappears. If I don’t find another approach to the relevant situations in life (like default distrusting other people), the pain will eventually come back to remind me until I do. I used to have several recurring emotions tied to pain at specific places in the body, and today there are none left. Hope this helps someone.

I don’t understand. I’ve been trying to reconcile my chronic pain but decades. I know it stems from my fragmented spirit and if I can sit with it I can heal. I have yet to trace it to a solution. Seems you’ve figured something out to this effect. Can you please help me figure out how to heal this pain?

@@tstrays100 hi hope you have found some answers I thought I could recommend Rupert's yoga meditations especially the" uncreated light of pure knowing" and all the others .And His videos of facing fear because they are very good at explaining exploring these things in the body.

After years of accumulating beautiful spiritual teachings and understanding I had run into a big wall. The confusion/frustration regarding all the charged feelings that continued to arise was so painful. Somehow Rupert manages to approach this topic in such a fresh, clear, loving and gentle way that the big wall seems to be slowly dissolving. So much gratitude and wonderment!

I wish observing uncomfortable feelings helped with panic attacks and generalized anxiety. In reality panic attacks and generalized anxiety and the resulting depression attacks seem to be a lifelong affliction. Imagine a person who attended talk therapy sessions a few times per week for 40 years, practiced bio-feedback, took prescribed medication, read hundreds of books on spirituality and practiced meditation and prayer on a daily basis for 40 years only to realize the attacks were as severe as they were on day one. A chilling and sobering reality.

aND, WHEN ONE FINALLY IS FULLY ALLOWING THAT/THIS TO BE JUST AS IT IS - ONE IS FREE, even with the affliction.
      Oh caps kicked in, sorry.
However, the first statement holds true, always.
Same goes for my own "journey" of immense physical symptoms, ptsd, gad, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia and so on. When "I" don't resist what is, I am happy. Even the symptoms, many a times, gets way less harsh.
When I am "in my mind" however.. suffering.
      Love, Jonas

To answer your question, yes. I have the same anxiety and panic attacks and somatic therapy (yoga therapy) helped me feel these uncomfortable sensations and just be with them until they released or dissolved. I made tons more progress in two months or so of this compared to 20 years of talk therapy.

I started getting panic attacks at 9 years old and they continued through childhood, my teenage years and into my 20s. They were so severe that I felt like ending my life was the only way out. I am not yet free of all anxiety but I longer fear or experience panic attacks because I don't let my mind get pulled into them. Very rarely the energy that could be called a panic attack flows through my body but I don't "panic". Do your best to allow the feeling. It's gets easier with time until it becomes a nothing. Sometimes it's almost pleasant

Yes, the separate self in my experience is deeply rooted in the body. The unitive understanding is a part of me, yet the feeling sensation of that rootedness tightens at times as a psychosomatic tension through the mind and body.
This is a deepening of the understanding. Thank you.

thinking and feeling are linked bidirectional pathways, if you cut the thinking ( through self inquiry) the feeling cannot remain, this is the inner mechanism of the separate self, which doesn’t exist

    • @NallahBrown

How would you even cut the thinking tho? The mind doesn't work like a light switch, if it was that easy a lot of us would stop thinking we are separate on a conscious and subconscious level right?

You're right, it doesn't get dissolved over night. It takes our whole entire life. As we did actually make a higher spiritual agreement/contract to experience a certain set of mission challenges, past karma, struggles and learning experiences. Some ppl worse than others. And some ppl learn and move on quicker than others.

I suppose one has to go alllll the way separating the meat from the bone in the tantric approach. In visiting the emotional pain to its core any association with the ego, on the way, leads to a pity party and we stop and hold on to the seperate self even more..... keep stripping the layers off till there is nothing more left.May take many sessions before the trauma is recognised, accepted, cleansed and released. Then what will be left ....they say...is our pure self 'uncovered'.
Its not for evone but I prefer that approach as pain gives something to work with n we get to say goodbye to the unnecessary adornments we shopped for over many lifetimes... release em one by one, lovingly.
    Its therapeutic if nothing else.
