Epic collaboration ! Now lets get Trent in a Kodiak!
Same thought on the Kodiak❗️
It's cool that you have an instructor in another plane that coaches you through a manuver.
I seriously love this content! It almost feels like a rediscovery of the passion for flying. There’s so much of the US to explore and so many trips you can take with friends/family that the content is unending. Can’t wait to see each moment!
Remembering doing much of this, but with a 180# instructor in a 65 hp J3 in the front seat. When he would get out, the fun began.
[Recalling his first lesson quote, "This is a powered kite. You have to fly it from untying it to tying it back down. I'll hold the brakes; you prop start it..."
....
I well remember him teaching me to do a loop. After reducing that to practice, he says "Now let's see what happens when the worst thing happens and we stall out on top."
And thus we both learned that it's a necessary idea to sweep out the Cub's floor before this demo. We had a dust and sandstorm in the cockpit, inverted, on top, in spin entry. [Explitives not included]
Trent is such a gifted teacher. Kudos!
This is like watching Maverick teach his students🤩 🔝🔫✈
So cool to see you out there with Trent! As your “kitfox presence” builds I cannot wait to see what mods, and hopefully partnerships, you are able to pull off - to make your airframe recognizably your own!
That would be pretty cool
Wonderful seeing the two of you flying together. You could each teach one another so much with your respective expertise. I bet if you found a Kodiak to go fly with Trent the video just might pay for itself 😛
Never in a million years did I ever think you would be here in my backyard flying with Trent lol great job
Great video, Trent is a natural teacher. Rolling one wheel like that looked super difficult with the potential of wing hitting the ground, combined with yaw effect. Amazing how skilled you guys are.
Cool! Just goes to show you, no matter one's experience or qualifications, there's always more to learn.
trent what a legend, so cool to see you guys fly together
Love how supportive this community is - Can we replicate Trent a lot please.
two of my favorites, good to see ya connect.
Hello from Minnesota!! Wow, what great coaching and training from Trent!! Priceless!! Your such and experienced pilot you picked up everything he coached you on so quickly! Great job!
Great collab, learning from the 'master' of kitfox and off airport landings!!
Ryan, I’ve been watching you grow for years since you started posting your PNG flights and while I really do miss your PNG flights, it’s really nice to watch you grow so quickly stateside with your new kitfox. Very few other kitfox CZcamsrs have the experience you do and it’s cool to see you apply that skill set to this platform. Great job, keep up the good work! Will you ever be returning to PNG?
It’s been super fun watching a person who you’ve seen at their most expert best be humbled by a new plane. Makes for very interesting material.
We think we are returning, but still not 100% decided
Well done mate!
I always love to see youtubers get together in videos like this!
I'd love to hear more about the differences between this type of flying and flying in PNG (you touched on it towards the end).
How did flying in PNG prepare you for this, and conversely, what sorts of things did you do in PNG that might be "bad" habits where you're flying now?
Wow, that was wonderful. Been waiting for this to happen. Have been subscribed to both you and Trent for some time now. GREAT STUFF.
This was awesome! Looking forward to many more of these 🙂
Such a great video. Trent has done a good job giving you insight into how your plane flies. I am sure you would the same in the one you fly for work. Thanks for sharing.
Small world. A highly experienced Missionary Bush Pilot in the Papua New Guinean theatre, flying alongside one of youtube's Bush Pilot icons.
When I subscribed to both Channels, separately, years back, never knew you 2 would eventually meet up👍🏾.
Badass hearing Adrian over the comms!
Awesome stuff, looks like such great fun!
This is just such an awesome video! Epic Collab!!
Trents calm instruction is great..what fun to have a flying buddy to help you wit all those little idiosycrosies
Wow, that was awesome! So fun to watch you guys.
Super cool to see you guys flying together!
This is my new favorite channel! Incredible video Ryan!!
Awesome video! Been a Trent Palmer fan for years. So much fun watching you two out there, and you learned so much about your plane. So enjoyed this!
Loved this video. So much detail and tips that aren't normally shared on youtube. Keep up the great content!
This is so awesome guys, I have literally waited a couple years for this meet up! So glad you guys made it happen and cant wait to see more in the future!
This is so cool!👌👌👌👍👍👍
Amazing video! We've been waiting for it for so long, that hardly anyone has missed it. Excellent collaboration and dream flying. Many thanks, Ryan! Hoping for more of this kind.

It is cool that Trent would take the time to help you. Good job!
Good stuff adding great skills to your toolbox.
Such an epic vid of you guys ripping around, polishing up the skill set and having fun - so rad!!
Great content once again.
Super cool video. Hanging out with Trent is definitely a great idea, and this video is really into flight stuff so quite interesting to all of us people trying to get more insights on this topic. Congrats and hope you do more of these!
Awesome! It's good to see your "stock" Kitfox holding up so well
Awesome! Everything is awesome!
Your vids always make me smile 😊 looks like so much fun!
I really enjoyed this video. It was awesome to hear what Trent was teaching you as far as the flaps and how to get the tail down right away. Can't wait to see what you do in the future with this plane!!!!
That was a very interesting video - thank you!
Boiz and their toiz -- great video! 💯
Great bit of flying! Trent really knows his stuff. Your flying ability is impressive, you pick up the new stuff so quickly. Thanks for sharing.
wow that was great living you dreams and enjoying life that gave me chills. Keep them coming.
Just epic. Thank you (and Trent 🙂)
Great stuff Ryan..... will be great to see your STOL flying skills progress.... :)
Great seeing you flying with Trent!! Can see you knowledge base picking up quickly, with the new moves in new areas!! Your Kodiak could live well out in that back land!! Looking good, skimming the terrane!!
This is the video I've been waiting for since you moved back to the states and started looking for a bush plane! Awesome stuff! End end put a huge smile on my face on what was a rough day. Thanks!
THANK YOU Ryan and Trent for this collaboration. I'm smiling like crazy watching every minute of this! This is so fun--the flying, and the student/mentor conversation. More of this, please! :)
This was awesome. Thanks
Awesome flying and nice video footage.
Awesome, awesome video
Great stuff here Dude!
That was brilliant Ryan well done..
Awesome! Great Teaching, great learning!
Very cool that you did an episode with Trent. Two of my favourite aviation CZcamsrs. Congrats on the new airplane.
Very cool, is nice to see guys together having fun, Trent Palmer is a cool guy, O have been following him for years
Dude! I am so pumped for you! What a great experience! Loved watching you learn in this video. Especially that dump the flaps on touchdown trick ... game changer! Thanks, Trent! You just changed Ryan's Kitfox videos 😁
2 of my favorite bush pilots!
Wow quick learner Ryan.
Wow looks like a dream! Keep up the great content
This answered so many questions. Incredible! Thanks guys!
I’m really glad you and Yrent did this for “us”
I thoroughly enjoyed that video and I learned some things that I will apply when using my sim. 🙏
now THAT looks like you had a whole lot of fun. Always a great feeling when you start to figure out a proficiency in a skill.
Very good Ryan, looks like a lotta fun…
Pretty cool that you guys got together. I follow both of you and have shirts from each of you. Right on guys!
great collaboration video you two guys...lots of great information. you two should do a few more of these...education for everyone about these tecniquics is so good
Flying high with elation watching you two soar high into a Sierra adventure with your experimental planes. Your joy and professional level flying reminds me of the H.Thourearu quotation from Walden Pond, "children that play in life discern life's true meaning." Treetop fliers across the country salute you for your video presentations.
Great video Ryan. Nice to see you getting familiar with your new plane. Spend some time on your 3 point landings. Pretty tricky coz you're right on the stall but you'll get it.
This is so amazing! I'm glad you were able to fly with Trent!!
yeah it was fun!
Awesome lessons and awesome teacher is Mr. Palmer , congratulations Ryan keep on and have a lot of fun as well.
Awesome to see you two flying together, sharing tips, etc.
That second landing was on point! Nice angle.
....and BAM!!! one on one instruction by one of the masters of the genre !!!!
Yes so cool human personal aviation at its best. Lots of fun big time thank you both Ryan and Trent for these videos. :)
Excellent!!! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ryan, this video is so awesome! I love watching you get a chance to go on your own adventures and fly where you want, when you want, with who you want. While I also love your PNG content, as an MK myself I know that even if you are doing ministry that you believe in and care about that it can get monotonous like any job. I'm praying that this time on home assignment is a time of rest, adventure, and recovery for you and your whole family.
So cool, I wish I was there with you guys.
Great teacher! Great student! That was fun to watch!
That 'student' goes from beginner in that platform to advanced in a couple weeks without breaking a sweat! The skills and instincts Ryan brings with him absolutely make a huge difference. Love the humility despite already being a very accomplished pilot.
Wow! What a great collab. I'm sub'd to both of you guys and have been watching for 2+ years. You are both accomplished pilots who I have a lot of respect for. I'm retired from flying now with 6000+ hours divided between scud running in the Northeast as a charter pilot and FL450 flying jets. After it all, I would love to land a bush plane on a lake bed. Thanks for sharing this Ryan. I really look forward to watching what you do with the Kitfox. Trent, you're a great instructor. You noticed what needed to be addressed right away, and you addressed it. Awesome job!
Dang it... Thanks Ryan. Now I have to get my tail wheel and follow roads... How exciting
Trent is a great guy to teach you most if not all of the little tricks that not only make it safe, but fun.
Ryan, I thoroughly enjoyed this video with the pair of you blasting around the dry desert lakes. I've had this silly grin on my face, the whole time. It reminds me of my meagre 8 hours of Super Cub flying a long time ago to get my tail dragger rating ♥
Well okay. This is THE ONE I wanted to see❗️❗️❗️👀✅ i contacted you both earlier about you guys combining for this great content. Knowing that you are both such accomplished pilots, i really respect the caution and training you both exhibit when either flying a different plane or flying over different terrain as well as taking note of how your equipment (like a tail wheel or bush wheel size) is suited to what you are doing. I have watched you both for over two years. Thanks for doing this😊Bob
Benbrook Texas
Great teacher great pupil thank you for the ride
Trent is a great teacher as is Kevin Quinn. Great that he spent some time with you. Loving the vids Ryan.
OMG! I follow you both separately but to see you both working together! Epic!!!!
Awesome collab! Really digging your videos lately!
Glad you enjoy it!
Thanks Ryan from a mortal stuck on the ground, it's nice to come along with you and have some fun and learn at the same time, great scenery as well.
Regards Richard 🇬🇧
