If Bangladesh was with India we could not eat beef and our Muslim women would go to school without hijab. So for me as a Bangladeshi Muhammad Ali Jinnah is a great hero.
Perhaps sometimes separation is better to love your closed ones more. As a Bangladeshi, I think the country that benefitted the most from India Pakistan separation is our Bangladesh. Bangladesh kept our Bangla language and culture more protected. Actually, Bangladesh represents the oppressed low caste Hindus and the oppressed low caste Hindus who later on converted to Islam. We tend to forget that the high caste Bangali land lords used to have their palaces in Kolkata and from there they used to rule the poor East Bangalis as the Jamindars or Land Lords. Those oppressed Bangalis supported the Pakistan movement to seek some breathing space and freedom from the powerful Hindu Land Lords of West Bengal. So we decided to be part of East Pakistan. But then we have noticed West Pakistanis want to be our rulers too. So, in 1971 East Bengal or East Pakistan became my beautiful Bangladesh. No doubt India helped us 1971; but we East Bengalis also helped Indian freedom from the British Rule. A lot of Indians tend to forget that. Since Independence Bangladesh is progressing. Now, we should do more business with India and Pakistan. But we Bangladeshis must keep our distance from Indians and Pakistanis at the same time; because they hate and look down on Bangladeshis. This is a fact. Bangladeshi tourism and import dependency with India must be reduced in the near future. We should have stronger border walls with India and grow our own cattle. We should strictly reduce any religious extremism at all cost. I do not want my beautiful Bangladesh to become the next Pakistan or Afghanistan. 18 months ago, when I suggested re-unification (in the comments section of some other YT videos) there was a lot of negative feedback, most from Indians who made it sound like it would be sacrilege. I too used the two Germanies as example of why this might work. It is heartening to hear this. Of course, if Partition had never happened, given the size of independent unpartitioned India, the trajectory of history would have been very different. Today, one of the best ideas emerging was by someone in these comments suggesting India-Bangladesh-Pakistan (as possibly other counties) be inspired by the EU plan and adopt open borders, common currency, and some sort sort of a federalist union. Resuscitate SAARC and rename it SPARK! If nothing else, it could eliminate unnecessary internecine fights. It would be marvelous if this happened in my lifetime.😍

As a Bangladeshi, I highly support partition. Though Democracy or Freedom of speech is declining in our country, at least we are a sovereign state. Religion is not an obstacle for being reunited at all. It's the western world which is trying to make a united Europe in their own region and also trying to employment the theory of "Divide and Rule" in the rest of the world. The more thay divide the world the more benefit they will get in the name of their so called " US interest". So that be educated at first and make others educated in this region. Only then we will be able to remove the influence of the foreign country from our land and will be united automatically.

Honestly I've always wished for this. I've lived abroad and here we Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis are all viewed the same- "desi". We live together we work together we build together. If India would be this united powerful nation, we would have never left seeking employment. My grandparents wouldn't have separated from her their families. I could have Pakistani screenwriter and singers and Indian director and dancers. Then Veer Zara would never have been separated.
I have huge respect and love for the fact that all youtubers are somewhere softly influencing us for reunification, this is the change our society needs....

I remember when I was a kid I used to watch cricket and I used to believe that the Indian team is our team because people are similar to us but then I was told that they are our enemy. But I don't believe this point, because if we are enemies then how come our ancestors lived happily for hundreds of years.
