Jerseygirlgm it's a piece that needs a lot of work, a lot of my band mates don't like it but I think it's because they don't know how to play it, but I love it
Aden Mendoza then you must not ever played in a band before.... the conductor is the most important part of a band, he keeps the tempo for the whole band, tells us when to have more dramatics like crescendo or decrescendo. Also gives cues to members to when to come in.
wha sun rhyim I know what a conductor is. I've had plenty. It's just I think this conductor is conducting way too "small" and is hard to differentiate different time signatures and cues/cut-offs.
That piece was my most favorite when I was in the All-Region first band. I play the clarinet! 👑
Playing this at 2015 JR. Districts was one of the highlights of my life
As the conductor of this honor band I just learned of the passing of composer John Zdechlik.
So fun to play!!!!!!!
playing this for our band concert and i love it so much! such a wicked good piece of music
I played this tonight for a band concert with all other schools around in my area and ours sounded good! I love this piece :)

Kaeleigh Brooks very true, our band director picked this piece because he thought it was challenging and i guess he was right haha.
Ms. Chavez I watched the whole thiiiiiing!
lol
I played this on the bass clarinet in my middle school school symphonic band. I liked the song, just not how I didn’t have many parts lol
Beautiful
playing this in 2022 7th grade
Am I not the only one who thought the snare was dragging a little bit
All-State??
why does it sound slower than i heard in band?
The original chorale and shaker dance is faster. Zdechlik wrote this edited version for younger bands
I’m trying out for all state California as a percussionist
does anyone else not understand the conductor?
Aden Mendoza I have no idea what he's doing. He just moves his hands around like kids in the audience. =P

I've played in band, and know how to conduct. Just that this guy moves his arms around, I don't know which beat is which.

I played trumpet and my band played this in high school. What happened to the trumpet solo at the beginning?
Horace Griffin that's "Chorale and Shaker I"
Yeah, this is Chorale and Shaker Dance ll. It was made for middle school bands.
The snake was dragging so much. ☹️😦
Snare*
too slow
trumpets are out of tune and it's really slow but otherwise okay. I played this in middle school.
