    Way underrated band. In particular, Stone's Reach is head and shoulders above most other albums in the melodeath genre.

    I'm one of those randoms, just started listening to this melo death shit and can't get enough of it. Belakor you guys are amazingly talented and should get way more recognition than a lot of artists out there. I've heard all your albums and I literally like over 80% of your shit. First song I listened to was In Parting, Hell of a song to be introduced to you guys to. Keep up the good work and thank you.

      Me too first song I really liked was pursuit of vikings by Amon Amarth

    • @squadup22
      @squadup22 Před 7 lety

      Gloin79 Yea that's a dope track, every time I run into one of there songs I end up saving a song to my favorites on utube music. Amon has an epic sound to there music, probably my next rabbit hole to go down. My favorites from them so far are varyags of miklagaard, tattered banners and bloody flags and Valhall awaits me.

    • @Gloin79
      @Gloin79 Před 7 lety

      yeah it's a lot different than be'lakor though less ambient but usually heavier

      Amon Amarth Twilight of the Thunder god and then Guardians of Asgaare were my first melodeath songs. My first belakor one was countless skies.

    I'm 49 and been listening to metal since 1986. About a month ago I was working and had CZcams minimized playing a random list and Countless Skies kicks in...
    Half way through the song I stopped what I was doing maximized CZcams's window and the addiction began : Abeyance, The Smoke of Many Fires, In Parting, Neither Shape Nor Shadow...
    Your music is a breath of fresh air, it's been a long time since I've been so excited and hooked with a band.
    Grateful for the eargasm and the goosebumps \m/ \m/ \m/
    P.S. Man, what inspiration does it take to write lyrics like this :
    I swallow forgotten words
    To gain what was lost
    And lose what was gained
    Until neither is real

      I'm 19 and found these guys a year ago and they opened the world of melodic death metal for me and they are the first band that struck my core and i found myself through their amazing music. i listen to them everyday and really appreciate every detail that gets put into their music , so i feel really privileged in a way to of found this band similar to you. They deserve so much more compared to modern day music . Its a shame alot of people have poor taste or ignorance to good music xD But yeah Fraught was the turning point of music in my life and I'm so grateful for that :)

    Wow, never noticed this before. Shaun is wearing an Okera shirt. At the time of this recording, Okera’s drummer was none other than Elliot Sansom - Be’lakor’s current drummer. Cool to see they were a fan of one of their member’s other work before they worked together.

    6 years on and you guys must be making some dollars now (congrats on signing with Napalm Records, you guys destroy anyone else on their roster). Now get them to send you on a North America tour please. You guys are widely regarded as the best (if not top 3) melodic death metal bands in the world (from what I've noticed most, myself included, think your number 1), it confuses me how the best band in its respective genre hasn't done any major tours yet. From the video's I've seen you guys are amazing live too.

    This band has been one of my favorites Ive returned too for nearly 8 years now. Theyve taken me through a lot of times, Ive taken their music to a lot places and moments. Ive always compared them more to bands like piety or in mourning than too bands like at the gates. They definitely have an almost progressive element to their music which makes these 8-10 minite songs so worth listening.
