I had RNY gastric bypass surgery in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on Monday June 13th, 2016. In this video I talk all about my hospital stay from admitting to discharge.
Hi Erin. Thanks for the details. I just had my surgery at Ottawa Civic and my experience was almost identical to yours (even had Greg the porter lol) Kinda wierd but I watched this vid before I went in so it was already familiar! Thanks for helping with that so much. Greatly reduced my stress levels. The folks at the Civic were so kind :) Love your vlogs.
Thanks so much! I was worried it was a little long & scripted but I really wanted to just give all the nitty gritty details of my hospital stay... even then I think I skipped a couple small things lol
Haha - what an adventure you had on the way to your surgery. At least you were able to get there safe and sound. Congrats on your surgery! It sounds like your team was fabulous. It's so nice to have personable professionals. This was extremely helpful! I love hearing all the details.
Hey Erin, Well all these years later , I'm appreciative of the details of the surgical experience. I notice not once did you say nausea.. I am hoping for the same luck!
Thank you so much for this. one of the most helpful videos I've watched. Really great details about what to expect.
Thanks for posting Erin! Loved all the details!
Glad you enjoyed it! Your turn soon :)

wow girl, you remembered so much! Sounds like everything is going very well. Congrats!
Thank you!
Very cool to hear about your surgical experience. I'm jealous they have 3 nurses in a room!!
lol, mind you I was a little out of it but I do remember a nurse saying "I'm one of your 3 nurses"... maybe you should come back to Ottawa ;)
+Erin RNY oh, some places have 3, so quite possible! As much as I loved the Ottawa area though, I love being so close to my family!!
I am glad your home and doing well. That would be me getting pulled over on the way to the hospital lol
