I must say this was one of the most amazing ZvP I ever saw.
The dedication and the precision of the zerg player was mind blowing. And the protoss was very good as well.
But in the end, the protoss crumbled under the never ending pressure of the swarm.
I dare to say that this is the way Zerg was designed to be played (mostly) and we just saw a glimpse of it in it's purest form!
The Zerg swarm is nothing to arbiters. It's cloaking is terrifying against Zerg. Let them send overlords. Just snipe them with corsairs.
Zerg swarming over 30+ minutes nonstop......almost 2k zerg produced by the end.
Very epic.

At 30:25 that synchronized storm. It's been awhile but iirc from when I play protoss, its a panic storm when you have multiple templar storm the "same location" and it automatically splits it out a bit like we saw
30:00 the moment it becomes 'Survive for 30 minutes' mission! 😮👍
Amazing! Lings and Hydras and Lurkers fighting against massive amounts of reavers, storm and high archons. The zerg's scourge game was next level.

As a zerg player, I've yet to see an effective counter to Reaver/Storm/Shuttle (up until this cast) -- Soulkey has executed this counter-strategy *perfectly* by sheer overwhelming macro, and cleverly using scourge to accompany his dark swarm attacks to chase down shuttles and observers. Well played and a valuable lesson learned indeed. Truly an epic match !
This was more than macro. I was seeing some excellent unit control as well!!
To be fair, the use of storm and reaver micro was terrible.
I disagree. The storms were absolutely on point and the reaver micro through most of the part was also efficient. If it wasnt, this game wouldnt be a 45 minute slugfest
@@Tiepo01 he could use arbiters with shuttles and reavers. If scourge are so eager to snipe an arbiter just blast them with stasis.

This game is an epitome of "If you keep doing something for long enough it will eventually work" strategy.
Zerg player tried to take that Nexus down so desperately but never used Plague on it.
Falcon is the only person that can get my attention for a PvZ match, I'm only 25 minutes into the video and it's already EPIC! Thank you Falcon.

Never seen a better game from the Zerg vs. Protoss. In the late game when I'm looking at the mining still going on in the bases and realizing that Soulkey is being more efficient than the Protoss by deduction, Mind Blown. Insane mirco, never blew his expensive units on nothing, microed his heart out on zerglings. Absolutely nuts.

Very close game, numerous occasions i thought the zerg couldn't recover but his endless swarm just proved to be deadlier than reavers, archons and storms.

Sick. Def deserves the epic tag.. psi storm and reavers are sooooo o.p., especially against Zerg.. you have to flood em with units at that point.. which is the Zerg's main strength
Epic match! Soulkey is a legend! His timing was so precise, knowing exactly when Best's bases are about to be mined out, and only then he started to put a significant pressure to drop his base count. And he did it!
Whatever best forgot to build arbiters and carriers. Carriers can spam the crap out of interceptors for the win.

Wow such an amazing game to quote Nicolas Cage from Face/Off bravo bravo fucking oh lol to both players. I was literally on my feet through the whole replay. I was like where is the zerg player getting all resources to keep making units lol but he had two 1/2 bases full of minerals and gas. His ling control was the best I've ever seen from any zerg player.

for 40 mins I was thinking how OP toss is, and how no matter what a zerg does they just get pushed around by storms/reavers/DT etc. Epic tag well deserved!!!
Soulkey could have dropped some lings into the main and taken out all the production. He had a big lead and decided to go ogre zerg gamer
I think the reaver cost was a factor in this outcome.

Best made some crucial mistakes. He didn't make any arbiters and carriers. Arbiters are terrifying against Zerg because they can cloak units and use stasis and recall. I don't know most tournament protoss players never use recall against Zerg only Terran because Zerg doesn't have spider mines making it more effective. By the way there is a hack for upgrades. Build 3 forges and you can get +3 weapons in 1/3 the time as opposed to building one forge. Applies to everything
Stats screen really shows how dirt cheap Zerg units are when SK outproduced Best 4 to 1 and still didn't spend as much

Really amazing! At one point the protoss had over 1K in the bank and a maxed out army, I thought for sure he was going to win. But the Zerg just grinded him down through sheer numbers.

A friendly suggestion. The zoom-in during the first 20minutes weren't that great. The normal perspective makes it easier to follow and close perspective isn't really adding anything.
