This is my home card show, been attending since about 1993
Me too. My Dad started taking me here around 93'. It has changed quite a bit not as many sports booths; nevertheless still a fun show
I bet you feel “like a kid in some kind of toy store.” - shouts to Homer Simpson for that quote 😎
No one cares
I love watching Geoff talk through deals with Reeves. It's so wholesome watching a seasoned collector spread the wealth of knowledge to the next generation!
@@JW-sz7ku Have you been watching since he started posting??? If you were a day 1 you'd know that in a very short amount of time (about 3 years) Geoff has grown his knowledge exponentially, and he's dealing in the market every single day... Just like all his other business ventures. It's honestly inspiring how much he's grown in the card market over that time... So yea, having seen how he started and where he is now, I have no problem saying he's a seasoned collector (and I've been collecting for 20+ years).
What did y'all Scoop Up from there??? I see bags full of some things when ya'll we're leaving.
Haha I go here weekly. Love this place. It's like Disneyland for collectors. It's amazing and just a heads up, this place ONLY opens on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Awesome! Me too
Love the Frank&Son collectibles show going to it more than 20 years love it.
Started going there since 1999. Love the place.
Thanks @Sports Card Investor for taking the time to take a picture with my son today at Frank & Son! He was thrilled and it made his day! Also, we enjoy these kind of videos showing the thought process during negotiations. Very informative and entertaining at the same time.
This place is Awesome cool seeing you and your sons there I used to take my son almost every weekend Jim is also a Doctor we bought many many boxes from dollar Dan Thanks for the video
It’s so cool to see you and your sons exploring together in the hobby ! Great father!
Love the walkthrough but love the wholesome family bonding happening on these little adventures.
It was nice seeing you guys at Frank and Sons!!!!
Yall are the best saying hi to all the fans while filming and working on this video at the same time
Frank and sons is so overwhelming with how many sick collectibles and card booths there. Gotta take out a loan to enjoy the day there 😂
Love Frank & Son Collectables. That place in unbelievable.
My go to cards show! Been going since the old location with no ac. Summers were super hot but still love it! Nice to give recognition.
Geoff, I was on tenterhooks watching you talk with your son on that card deal. Was a tough one, but good getting $75 for it. And good negotiating from your son to get it down from $90 to $75. I woulda had a field day spending hours in that place looking mostly at cards/stickers and also toys and everything else. Great vid with your kids 👍
Jim at 2:20 is a great dude and gives good deals, I have bought many boxes from him and we can talk for hours!!!
Awesome place! Wish I had more places like that in my area.
I use to play Magic the Gathering at the old location in the 90's. I love the new location, and glad it's still going strong
Awesome being able to see other stores and shows when the access of my phone
You helped walk your kid through the thought process, but didn't influence his decision. Great content as usual !
Love going there in the 90s! Used to bring my kids....
Wow this guy said, cards collecting has been booming more in past 2 years than in the 20 years before that combined!!
If there was one “toy” I could afford to collect, it would be the rocket firing Boba Fett
Excellent way to encourage your son to negotiate, dude! You did great in guiding him with the best advice possible! BUT he was so mature in handling the other guy in his negotiation! Very intelligent and you should be very proud of what he accomplished! Heck I was proud of him lol! Frank and sons is great just that there is a little too much anime (especially those figurines) everywhere. Kinda embarrassing a little if you have kids. Excellent Video you have put up!
Great content Jeff I love the card kids to
Looks like an amazing place to be.
I used to live at this show every week wed and sat 🤣. Dollar Dan was the man glad to see he is still there. 🤙🏻🤙🏻
wow, wish I would have known, I live 5 minutes away, that would have been cool to see you in person, hey you must stop by dans booth, best prices by far, they just moved to that spot about 3 years ago, it used to be an Ikea, they went from the trucking warehouse to a furniture warehouse, now to their current location where you are at right now. great location, cool video .
It was a Sam's Club not IKEA.
@@jamess8112 what was it before Sam's Club ?.....exactly
Great Video as always Jeff!!.......keep up the great work & hopefully one day I'll get to meet ya......
Im lucky enough to live only 5 Miles away, I go there once a week. And hey bud they haven't been there since 1997, they just moved to that old sam's club location a couple years ago.
Ik I was about to say
Who else has been at Frank and Sons before?
About once a week
I go there all time. Wish I could've met you there.
Wow i could watch hours of this. Im getting the feeling socal is the place to be for collectibles
I used to set up there at the 1st location. Tons of cards back then. There’s only like 2 rows of cards now.
You guys are the best
I want to know how many vendors asked you to not film them even though you weren’t. Some of these vendors are so afraid of vloggers and CZcamsrs it’s pretty wild
The people who sell sport cards their expect that old guy. Most of them are so cheap and low ball you, thats just how it is at frank and sons
Just to be clear. It is like 95% pop culture stuff. Very little sports. When I did the show in the original warehouse it was 98% sports. But I'll take the air conditioned new place any day
All my boxes are from dollar dan hit so many good cards from frank and sons
I enjoyed the episode. I would have liked to see a little more of the products/prices at the wax dealers/Pokemon dealers. Just a quick pan across the booth where you could pause the video and look at prices if wanted.
Thanks for the content!
Jim @frank n sons is great guy 🤙
Your a good Dad dude...cool channel
been going here for years. that's why bgs is the best pops said it right.
Awesome video
I love frank and sons!
Hate to say it but Reeves is by far a better negotiator than Geoff already
The facts are wrong at the start. Frank and Son moved to the current new location where it used to be a Sam's Club warehouse around 2019.
Gotcha, I had that mixed up
Sounds like Geoff would have sold at 70. His son was smart enough and had enough courage to ask for 7% more. 7% is a big number! Good job!
Say hello to Johnny!!!!!
This place is like a Disneyland for collectibles 😆
I love the way you explain and work through the negotiation process with your kids. I do the same thing with my kids all the time and wish more parents took the time to explain the intricacies of business and entrepreneurialism in general. I was an avid sports card collector back in the late 80/early 90s and turned that into a career on Wall Street as an equity/option trader. Whatever your kids decide to do in the future, I strongly believe that small deals like the one on this video will shape their lives.
Unfortunately, I hold the belief that the current card market is about to get absolutely destroyed but that too will be a good lesson for the kids. Adversity builds character.
I like your videos, lots of fun to watch.
3:20 listen closely
Incorrect, they have move atleast 2 times Before they move to the current Sam’s club location, they were in a near by warehouse on San Jose Ave… I start going to frank & son since 1989 when it’s strictly for trading cards, now I’m taking my kids for Pokémon & anime
Nice video 👌
never been a big fan of it as a low-mid end collector. I’m a bigger fan of Diamond 9 but I’ll head to Franks often
You talked to my good friend dollar Dan. I buy all hockey boxes from him great person
Frank and Sons used to have so much more card booths but now there is only a couple more funco Pop than anything.
I was wondering on the SoCal tour how you hadnt been there yet.Been going there since early 90s
Frank and son Saturday
I am assuming that this isn't your standard "show", but rather like a monthly/yearly huge flea market type thing? Otherwise, some of these set-ups must take hours, they literally look like an LCS. GREAT VIDEO and loved seeing you sit back as your son got that extra $5; that's how it's done! 👊👊👊
Its open every Wed, Saturday and Sunday. Been going since 1995. Its an awesome place. They have a section for special events, like signings, tournaments, etc..The current location is in an old Sam's Club warehouse. You can find almost any collectible. The booths are set and its not revolving. Same vendors every week. Alot of the hobby shops buy from guys like Dan or Harrison Sports, which is down the same asile. Dan and the Harrison Sportscards are usually cheaper than any of the hobby stores. Tax is included in the price so it an easy transaction.
I was here about a week ago and I bought a Bryce Harper bgs card
This place is a little too expensive. But I’ve been going here on and off since ‘96. Once in a while you’ll find a good deal.
Just went here a few weeks ago. Super cool place but way overpriced. No deals.
Just curious why SGC wasn't even mentioned as an option for grading when he would easily get back before football season...
Best keep secret in baseball -RAFEL DEVERS
Hey what case do you use to carry your cards. I'm interested in that backpack style.
Firebox Cases… but they are almost always sold out
I think you get the best card trading grading from AGS
What makes you say that AGS is so good?
@@henryzheng2388 Well you see AGS mostly uses ai to obtain great results
@@nick5663 Could you elaborate on "great results"?
@@henryzheng2388 the ai is very precise and essentially cant make a mistake like a normal person would on accident

Sports cards , sports cards , sports cards
Wasn’t this video already up?
Bro I was just in your house
What city in the US is this card show?
City of industry
Parking there is insane and drivers are careless be watch outl!!!!! It doesn't sound believable but people have taken 45 minutes just to park before. Show up early
Alright tour
Imagine if someone hadn’t got divorced and lost this show in the settlement. Too bad the price for a single table for one day skyrocketed after she took over. I miss the days when this show was 90% sports cards.

Keep your eye out on the japanese precious collectors box pikachu card its being released in November. It will be a very high end pikachu card. It costs $130 if you know somebody in Japan if not it's about $270 from secondary japanese sellers. Not financial advice but I feel Very confident it will be 4 figures plus in the future, most single pokemon cards aren't that expensive to purchase so it will be a good set later
