But we can't judge him about the addiction. The last years of his life, he was very sick and had insomnia and glaucoma!
His Doc gave him all the medicine, so he thought it's ok. I have a medical education and in that time all people are talking about street drugs, and he took no street drugs. In the 70's we didn't know all the side effects of those meds he took.
So "Walk A Mike In My Shoes", a song he sang and we should think about it, before we judge. We all don't know what will happen in our lives, and somtimes certain things can happen, that will change our live dramatically and then the personality can change dramatically, too!
I had those cases a hundred times in my life as a medical prof!

Loved Elvis and thought Priscilla's leaving had much to do with his decline. But I was in my first love at 14 also, and we all change so much in the following years that may have played a big part. So sad for him.

Priscilla did not leave Elvis for anyone. What wasn’t right between Elvis and Priscilla was between Elvis and Priscilla. They never stopped loving each other. Elvis was an amazing and beautiful man and I miss him every single day.

If Priscilla had the slightest suspicion that Elvis was having an affair when he was married to her you can bet she would have let the whole world know. Remember she was the one who started an affair with her dance teacher when Lisa was just 4 months old. And eventually went off with Mike Stone who already had a pregnant wife and small child

Motown had numerous artist who left once they became more astute financially. How can you wife stay with you, when you can't make love to her, after the birth of your child??? and she knows her husband is sleeping around. No Priscilla did not kill him. The military played a part on this young vulnerable kid, giving him sedatives and it only increased over the years. You are so high on your career and earning big bucks. You can't come down just to rest, so you need uppers and lowers and over the years the system just can't handle it. Yet these great starts summons their doctors to keep giving them what they need, because they too are greedy, knowing the harm they are doing. Everyone forgets Elvis died with 5M.
