Great - except it's in Dm.
It's in F major (ionian). Or G minor (dorian). Or D minor (aolian). Or C major (mixolydian). Same notes, different modes... But the chords imply F maj.

Likely because that's being considered the root position as the first note played in the scale is F.
@Jack Archer is correct. I tend to highlight the root position of the scale for beginners sake who'll just see a jumble of notes.

I know this thread is 4 years old, but the chords to the bridge, are not what is shown, it is like a Am in the form of G, down to that G and down to F that looks like that G and so on, espl. when playing along, OK

glorious, but I have a question, in this backing track if I play F major it sounds like a major sound, happy and stuff...but when I play D minor it sounds more like melancolic and sad, just the sound of a minor scale, the question is...what the fuck?, why does it happens in this backing tracks and not on others?
That wouldn't make any sense because you'd be literally playing the same scale. F is the relative major of D minor, and therefore would contain all the same notes.

Weeeell, d minor is the sad and dark brother of the vivid and sunny F major.
If you emphasize F in your melodies (you make it your tonic center, so they say), it can reflect happiness; if you choose D as the note to move away from and towards, it will get a darkish, sad colour.
But this will not work with any pieces: if majors are "too major", it's difficult to force sad mood upon them. However James has the talent of writing harmonies that have this ambivalence which you can build both minor and major melodies on easily.

It actually is in Dm. In fact it also moves to the Subdominant Gm in the "B section"
