Water hole wildlife behind our home in Hendersonville, NC. (2020-21)

- Wildlife water hole! Simple to set up - I went to Tractor Supply and purchased a 15 gallon water tub used typically for farm animals. Then I dug a hole alongside a wildlife trail behind our home, filled the tub with water, planted a few ferns and positioned a trail camera above the site. I use a sponge and bucket to empty and clean the tub and I leave a hose nearby for refilling. After a few months, most of the wildlife becomes familiar with the water hole and begins to feel at ease stopping by. / All my trail cam wildlife videos are filmed on a single acre of land behind our home within a subdivision consisting of hundreds of other homes in Hendersonville, NC. - / @wildlifebehindourhome
Viewing Mother Nature in all her glory, just as you have captured here in this video and others, is truly a blessing. Thank you.
That cat sure is eating good. Poor little squirrels.
That Bobcat is hammering the squirrels.
Those white squirrels are beautiful.
Amazing that so many animals are living so close to your property and are taking advantage of your hospitality
Just beautiful! Wow!
The animals seem so appreciative of the water!
I live on the other side of the mountain from you and I still can't believe what I am seeing.
Giving so many such a simple thing as water, means so much!!! 🥰🥰 and that bear has an absolutely beautiful shiny coat!!!
There’s a couple of acres of woods behind my yard in Carthage NC and I was thinking of sinking a water hole like yours on the edge to help the animals. I have seen deer, rabbits, birds and squirrels -nothing as exotic as you have. But who knows what may show up if I build it! Thanks again for sharing your wildlife with us.
Absolutely fantastic! Wonderful job, I’d love to do this behind my own home 😃
This bobcat is in a league of her own! Thanks for sharing…
What a smorgasbord of wildlife, excellent!!!
wow what a wonderful forest you are blessed thank you
LOL! That bear's gonna get his water!
Mama is a good little hunter.
I have never seen so many albino squirrels like in your woods. I must say the bobcat are efficient squirrels hunters. That last bear was huge! Thanks for sharing.
Naturally white squirrels! They are abundant here. (See my White Squirrels playlist) czcams.com/video/iXQAcxJUMxg/video.html
Yeah. As they said, they are not albinos...just white...no pink eyes...
Not albino. Grey patch on head, dark eyes
Opps... he got him.

Seriously one of our favorite channels! We just moved to Arden a few month ago and LOVE your channel!!! Can’t wait for more videos!
4:39 / 6:14 Rest in peace, squirrel.
thanks for this video. I grew up in the hills and we had them then so nice to know they are still there. Bless you.
After seeing this video I built this same water hole. I"m 20 minutes north up high in Asheville. My tub might have been larger. After three days a bear came and ripped the entire tub out while it was full. Their strength is remarkable. He also filled it full of holes. I may try again this year.
Weird. I've never seen any aggressive behavior toward the tub by anything!
@@WildlifeBehindOurHomeAgree. We call him the vandal. Mean young man.
The coyote (coywolf?) decided to mark the waterhole as his at 8:57. The fox sniffed all the stones around the edge, but chose to ignore the big one with the annoying scent. But the deer certainly noticed that very stone! Bobcat Squirrel-killa was oblivious to the coystone and the raccoons couldn’t have cared less…
This is great thank you for giving them water and for the content of coarse! God bless
No me canso de Miralos ♥️♥️😍😍 gracias ...
better than national geographic
Love these videos
Love the recap.👏🏼
So sad that bobcat got both white squirrels. I hope some others wander in from breviary to repopulate the area.

White squirrels in Hendersonville are common.
Very nice!
I never seen a white squirrel their gorgeous
This is beautiful, watched the whole thing, thank you! Did you notice if any animal would come on a regular schedule? I loved the bear snout camera boop lol
Raccoons, pretty much every night.
Healthy chain of animals.
What is the camera you are using. Great Video's!
I use the “no glow” Browning Spec Ops Advantage and edit with VideoPad Editing Program for sharpening the video, etc.
Rip the white squirrels
I hope the bobcat doesn't catch the albino white squirrel.
❤🎉😊
Very good footage. The idea of the water + trail cam gives impressive results. What is the animal in 1:38? It does not seem a lynx. Thanks!
Only bobcats here in the Western North Carolina, Blue Ridge mountains.
@@WildlifeBehindOurHome it seemed more little than a bobcat in the video. Anyway it's an impressive video. Congratulations!
@@FototrampeoCheck bobcats can range from 12 pounds to 40 pounds so seems about right! Looks to be about the same size as that red fox.
Oh shame! this bobcat catched the two white beautifull squirels 😭
Papa bear gigantic! Bobcat 5, all others zero!
Fox squirrels ?
No, just regular squirrels.
Are white squirrels common around Hendersonville? We have some here in South Mississippi. I don't recall seeing any when lived near Cherokee back in the 80's and 90's. Just curious.
Yes they are!
Hendersonville, Brevard, Mills River, Fletcher...in my neighborhood in Fletcher we have a booming population.
What camera brand and model do you use ?
I use the relatively inexpensive, “no glow” Browning Spec Ops Advantage or Spec Ops Edge and edit with VideoPad Editing Program for sharpening the video, etc. (As good or better than much more expensive cameras)
@@WildlifeBehindOurHome thank you so much for the reply. I live just out side Asheboro about ten minutes from the zoo. How many acres do you have and how many cameras do you have set up in order to this volume of video? Again thank you
What camera is this? Arlo?

Fox is gorgeous.
What kind of squirrels are those white ones?

@@WildlifeBehindOurHome wow. Thanks.
You have everything in your yard but Bigfoot.
I don't know why you would assume I don't have Bigfoot?! czcams.com/video/u2-OjypFPDk/video.html
actually I assume you do they just do not want to be seen.
What is that cat ??
Bobcat
Well done! How important it is to regularly empty and clean the tub? Could stagnant water make the animals sick?
It varies. As often as needed basis.
