The Harmonica letterally cries in this masterpiece.
Once Upon a Time in the West is severely under rated.
Absolutely spot on, total respect to this lady 😊😊😊
Why western music sounds so epic, majestic and tragic?
Jesus Christ.
Serotonine 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
And hypnotic
Ennio Morricone.
Fabuleux
probably the best version ive heard.
52nd time I've watched this. Just how good!
Unglaubliche Performance kaum vom Original zu unterscheiden, sehr sehr gut!!!
She plays this stunningly beautiful
Listening to this on the day of Ennio Morricone's passing is actually making me start crying. He truly was a master of film score and ingenious composing.
oh, me too. I can't stop. This music is just so haunting. The Great Ennio Morricone shall be missed.
La sua musica non morirà' mai!
:( Same with me...
You're all making me cry now. Radio 3 played music of his on Monday and that brought tears to my eyes aswell. A wonderfull composer who will be very sadly missed. I don't know what's happened to the Spagetti Western Orchestra but it would be nice if they got back together again and did a tribute concert for him.
He was simply the best
Oh.....wow.....my sentiments also....am approaching 70.....am a blessed man with a loving and caring family....a handful of amazing friends.....but an ache deep in my heart....for the things that I have missed, the things I did wrong, those who have passed away and are longer with us.....time is so precious......my wish now is to make the most of today, as yesterday is history, and tomorrow is not promised to us.....peace and love to all .....❤❤
Ask Lord Jesus into your life and you will live forever !
Lovely, true words, I'm 70, so know also all about it...❤
No one can make such perfect beautiful music for American western movies than the Italians . NO ONE. THE ENTIRE WORLD KNOWS IT.
Those Italian maéstros , Composers /Arrangers have no match. They are just magnificent !!!
But there comes from the Nederlands!!!
Musique extraordinaire d ennio morricone
I love that harmonica tune 👍 and Charles Bronson one of the gr8 actors of all time..
This Lady that plays the Harmonica, is Truly A VIRTUOSO.

@@anthonyrios8566 Hi Antony..I am happy to be able to let you know her name.I know her personally
I've never heard a guitar and harmonica sound so sinister and yet so beautiful.
when i was a young boy i was afraid by the harmonica's theme.
Now i see only the beautiful side of this music.
And I might say as good as the original score if not better. That lady who plays the harmonica has so much emotion projected in her harmonica... brought tears to my eyes.
Ain't that the truth.
It is meant to sound sinister good sir. Its the sound of death getting closer to Frank and his outlaws.

Awesome! Great job! Thank you very much!
There are good composers. There are great composers. There are legendary composers. And then there is The Maestro. The single greatest one of them all!
The harmonica woman is just FANTASTIC!!! Also the choir is very good!

Espectacular !.
OMG thank you ! we were vwey happy singing that night ❤❤❤
One reason I love Morricone's work is that is never in a hurry.
He was a genius ❤
The way how Sergio Leone directed, Ennio Morricone composed,Charles Bronson,Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef acted in those western movies made me want to be a part of this world...
High quality
Don't think I've ever seen a woman with a harmonica before. Wonderful arrangement, they really captured the haunting feeling of the song, making Charles Bronson's character feel like a vengeful spirit rather than a man. RIP Morricone
The connection of this masterpiece with the movie is absolutely successful
the harmonica really wants to say to me the life is beautiful, enjoy every moment.
SOLO ENNIO MORRICONE POTEVA FARE UNA MELODIA COSI BELLA
Hermine Deurloo is a class act with her harmonica 😍

I'm so sad, Master Ennio Morricone has passed away today (6th July 2020) ...

I woke up one morning with the music of once upon a time in the west going through my mind, later I learned that Ennio Morricone had passed away, the music of that film is so powerful it touches your soul, greatest western, film of all time, and to me it defined Charles Bronson as the greatest actor of all time
After I saw this movie as a kid, I immediately went to the music store and bought a Horner harmonica. I learned to play this haunting riff fairly well. I remember hanging out with my friends and annoying the shit outta them. WHAA, WA, WHAAAA WHAA.
Ha ha !! Fkn great you made me laugh !!! 😄 👍
What harmonica did you use? I want t buy one

Ennino Morricone left his DNA in this piece of art. He never died.
Outstanding Orchestra like this One honoring an Outstanding Musician and Maestro such as Morricone
An absolutely magnificent rendition of a superb film and soundtrack. Still can't believe he wasn't awarded an Oscar for any of his scores instead of the honorary one given to him in his later years.
A genius. Rest in peace.
Because they are Deaf and Blind, that's why!
He won one in the end though. His score for The Hateful Eight won in 2016.
I agree. They did the same thing to Chaplin. I think Hollywood is afraid of successful people. They fear their own. I mean come on. The man did over 400 soundtracks for them. You're going to tell me they were all flops? Yet you always hear his songs in commercials, TV shows, even in THEIR movies. Call me old fashion but to me, this is called Hypocrisy.
Only Americans can be stars in Hollywood. Foreigners are not welcome. Mediocre works get more Oscars if they are American, while they don't even want to acknowledge foreign world stars. The Oscar is an internal award, with which they reward themselves. That is why it is overrated.
Awesome. She plays so well Harmonica.
A fantastic score as well as a great movie
I don't know why but this score had me in tears 😢.... powerful , reminds me of my youth watching these westerns with my dad , thank you

So... not Clint Eastwood then...? :D

This time, it's the woman with the harmonica.👋👋👋
E' impressionante come un piccolo strumento come l'armonica possa commuovere quanto un'immenso organo, con le note giuste...
Ho my God😮, the way she plays the harmonica is absolutely amazing😮

the harmonica : such a small thing, such a great sound!
I haven't heard anything that comes so close to the original... Absolute madness and respect
This is my all time favorite western. I can't tell you how many times I've seen it and never get tired.
Hermine Deurloo, her harmonica sounds like the last words of a dying man, unbelievable
I thought it was toets Tielemans😊😊.
Classic music mix i watch sometimes it's a man's world Pavarotti and James Brown
This is incredible work on that Harmonica. Haven't seen a better live performance of this.
Ennio Moricone was a brilliant composer.
This interpretation is wonderful.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
i think this is the best perfomance of "Man with a harmonica" i've seen so far. amazing harmonica sound and guitar tone.
Harmonica/mouth-harp: better than the original.
But when comparing the guitar in this rendition, it lacks the nasty distortion that defined the original recordings. 'Hard to get really crunchy, ripping distortion from a Gretsch, which has pickups that accentuate the fuller tones and sustain of a hollow-body instrument. I'm guessing the 1968 version, under Morricone's direction, used a Fender or Gibson, with more powerful bridge pickups, and an amp with adequate overdrive to deliver the dissonant tones that convey the seething vengefulness of Charles Bronson's character.
I think that this is by far not the best version of the song. The player is overdoing it constantly and cancels the feeling and atmosphere of the whole harmonica section. Didn’t like this performance of my favorite song of all times at all.
@@timf3099 im only comparing it to other live performances besides the original
@@MrSeelenwalzer can you point me out to better live performances in your opinion?
In this occasion, woman with a armonica. And she makes a great performance!
I was hooked on Ennio Morricone since 1969...To this day...Once upon a time in the West...is still the greatest western movie of all time...The music blew me away!
RIP...maestro Ennio!
With you, 100% !!
Me too lol, I'm a musician and I'm learning how to bend a note on the Harmonica, so that I can play along. I even love the guitar, so simple but so effective, love this tune.
Black Country Gaz ...if you are a musician you should already know how to bend a harmonica note. But since you are a musician, what key of harmonica is being used here. Is it a Marine Band or a Special 20? Hmmm could possibly be chromatic......do you think it is?
@@68blues I play the guitar and sing, not really a Harmonica lol. I have a set of blues Diatonic harps that I have used in a SKA band, but never needed to bend. It's a tricky technique, all to do with focusing a jet of air with your tongue well forward then seamlessly drawing the air in and altering the shape off the inside of your mouth, and pulling with your diaphragm. Hard to explain but it just happened and was weird. Seemed really hard but now after a couple of days it's very easy, but you have to have the knack. I guess singing all my life helps. I use a G harp, hole 6 plus bend and hole 5. You have to suck air in too not blow, crazy but rewarding, om not perfect but still pleased with the sound so far.
It really captures the time of what the Old West was
This is absolutley brilliant, the lady on the harmonica is great, love to know her name, tallented lady.

God, I love this song. It's like the harmonica is crying. It's amazing.
Yes! To me it reflects "Harmonica's (Charles Bronson) torturous soul, the pain and anger he carried for years until the final moment. The moment when he reveals what he's after, only at the point of dyin'
@@Mikes66442 Precisely 😭
Yeah, it´s crying. Definetly. Brilliant Performance.
If you've seen the movie, the harmonica is placed in a young Charles Bronson's mouth as his brother is hung. The boy falls to the ground and as he's crying, the sound of the harmonica reflects his sobs. Very moving and haunting....
I was a Wild Mustang competitor and used this song for my event! The crowd went wild!!
Love the beginning of the film where he captures the fly in the barrel of

Every part was played to perfection. Particularly the harmonica and guitar.
A Ennnio Morricone.

Sapevi cogliere nelle colonne sonore
col silenzio grande suspans,
facendo partecipare gli spettatori
in attori e renderli tutti
state sempre tradotte le parole,
ti faccia partecipare come "maestro"

Once Upon a Time in the West was (is) something almost ethereal. It's just about the only film I've ever watched where for days afterwards, your mind keeps tugging you back to it. In my opinion it is THE masterpiece that nothing so far, has ever touched. Yet I could not begin to explain why this is so.
