Lasik was first technique which is widely used for correction of refractive error
In this technique corneal flap is made with mechanical instrument (microkeratome) and blade hence called as blade LASIK / conventional LASIK.
Since the technique uses blade / mechanical cutting tool has its own complication. With the invention of femtolasik this method is widely used.
