    Good engine if maintained properly and ran on the correct oil, So many customers are there own worst enemy regards maintenance.

      Doesn't always work, iv had a ds4 for 9 years on 99k now oil change for low ash oil every 6k with the filter aswel and been having dpf problems, regularly used the foam cleaner aswell. I drive it on long journeys regularly and it gets revd up alot due to living in the valleys.

    Great Vid, those 1.6 tdci's are notorious for carboning up the oil ways and wrecking turbos.

      It seams the culprit is the filter at the bottom of the oil feed to the turbo, it's recommended to remove it.

    This engines are good and economic but every week they need to be pushed harder to clean up the carbon buildup, i have it for 80k km and every weekend i do a around 80km in with high speeds 80-140 and then after i do around 140km/h for about 5 minits i can feel the car already is more responsive on the trottle, just do this and your engine will thank you

      My engine is tuned up from 90hp to 145hp and it feels so good pasing people up fast even tho some people still accelerate when you try to pass them just to be mean.

    I love your video. I have a question, i fitted a new dpf fixed the splits in the pipes but my dpf pressure at idle is 3.58 kpa. There are no leaks i can find and i have relearned the pressure values but to no good do you have any advice please. Thank you

    Hi looking for some advice if possible have a ford transit mk8 minibus and keeps going into limp mode seems to be only happening on the motorway when cruising at low revs, dash board says service engine now and will rev above 2000 rpm. I can turn of ignition wait a few minutes and turn back on and runs ok for a bit then same again

    What was the reason it didn't do a regeneration? you had to restart it and perform it a second time

    Is that the psa 1.6hdi? The one where the injector leaks and somehow blows turbo after turbo, mainly in Fords.

    Thank you for this video, what is normal DPF pressure for this car? I got the same Ford Focus C max 1.6 tdci and DPF pressure is 2kpa on 3000rpm but I still got P2002 error. Is this pressure too high?

      @@ORileysAutos if you do try their stuff, be interested to hear your results/thoughts on it. Spoken to them recently and they are very good to deal with but price is quite steep

      It didn't even need a regen but code wouldn't clear for some reason

      Yeah had it myself, the ecu must just need to see a regen before it completes circuit for code clearance and had two of these over the years run on during regen, scary stuff, I actually now tell I’m not responsible for failures during regen like turbo failing or cam belt snapping

    Seems like an expensive and pointless tech, capturing carbon, to then release it all with chemicals.
