There is no way you actually think using the ONE person who knows wtf is going on as a meat shield is the smartest idea.

still better than keeping her, risking the chance of getting used or betrayed. Using her as a meat shield is better than 1 of your friends that you know better, or you can get as much information as possible before abandoning her.
At least in the live action the first lady they meet literally tries as hard as she can to get them killed. (Example) Often in horror movies and shows you can’t trust anyone, even sometimes people you know. There are clearly more people who know what’s happening so if they had observed that she acted coldly and wanted to sacrifice them the better choice than letting her hang around and betray them later is to kill her early on. Luckily the anime is much different than my earlier example and the lady doesn’t try and sacrifice them in the first ten seconds of the game.
Yeah it's a smart move cause the smarter they are the more they are likely that you would befriend and then you would be the meat shield it's a battle of how more heartless you can be to survive

Honestly the live action series was so perfect that the anime just falls flat in comparison
Yeah... (I mean I have watched neither personally but) at the very least, the Live Door, Die Door game at the beginning seems more exciting to watch than the fortune card one. Especially when the schoolgirl died.
I just watched the live action when it came out on Netflix. I had no clue there was an anime for it.
The live action is good. However it left quite amount of detail and changed some of the plot from the source material

And 2, the Netflix show doesn't have the arrow game but goes alot further in the story and does have some very emotional moments which are on par, if not slightly better than the anime.

Yeah....i glad that they change the first game because in this version, the 3 of Club game look like an overkill then the one in live action where you just have to pick a right door
Some difficulty of the games (both in the anime or live action) makes no sense at all, like the 7 of hearts should be easy, right? You just have to be the wolf by the end of those 10 min, but Imo it’s the hardest game within the whole series, you obviously don’t want to be playing this with friends, cause only one of you will survive, but also if they’re not your friends they might try to kill you.
I think you should cover how to beat Higurashi. It’ll be interesting to see what you come up with.

The live action first game is probably a little bit smarter. Imo or tricky. (What I meant by smarter is that it's really smart how it played out like what is the cost if you picked the wrong door etc. The solution is also really clever)
Yeah, Dead or Alive is pretty much a good game for starters, but if you fail, it's deadly, also the fact that they keep Chota as injured because of burns is actually pretty nice

Everybody keeps commenting on how this show isn’t a good adaptation of the live action show.
It’s based on a manga, which came out in 2010! The anime came out in 2015, and the live action came out in 2020!
And the anime is nearly identical to the manga, while the show somewhat strayed off.
As a fan of the source material I can say I enjoy both the anime and the live adaptation. Although I'm a little bit diaappointed bcs they changed quite amount of content/plot in the live adaptatiobn

I’m sad we’ll never see “Runaway” as it was intended.
I would be really disappointed if they change, “Boiling Hell”. That’s the beginning story of one of my favorite characters.
But it strayed off for the better! The Dead Or Alive game was much better in the show than in the anime. The fortune slips were boring and confusing, but the doors game was better because it was more interesting and it was kinda like an Escape room and I loved that

The manga was so good and the anime was depressing it never got more than a 3 OVA’s I always wanted them to animate more. But the only good live action IMO from Netflix is the alive in borderlands I can’t wait for season 2 I was so hyped when they announced they picked up the series for season 1 it was like a dream come true to finally see the manga fully on tv 🙌

“Alice in Borderland” is a manga. The anime is a very close adaptation while the live action show strays off.

This was my thought; he plays like the stereotypical selfish asshole antagonist, only keeping people around if he can use them and discarding them as soon as they become a liability. If there's one thing I've learned from decades of movies, cartoons, anime, etc, it's that the selfish asshole characters _never_ survive to the end.
