This is so informative. It feels like I'm being taught properly at the set itself. Please please make more such in-depth tutorials
Thank you - I produced several courses to teach you the entire filmmaking process. You can check them out at www.FilmSkills.com
It's amazing how much time and work can go into filming a 10 sec scene, but the difference is incredible.
Man, you are incredible. His teaching is impressive.
Just this small but extremely valuable tutorial will help so many understand how to break up light with color temp and controlled shadows. There is so much to learn from this video it's astounding.
Thanks so much. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
For extra "on location" authenticity, one of the tungsten bulbs is dead... skill is technical mastery and creativity combined! Bravo.
this video its better than a class :) Love it, Hi from México!!
Hi Gerardo, thanks so much! And hello from LA!
Yo también soy de México gueeeeee
Amazing!. We always watch films but never knew what evert goes into making one scene.
I've never seen this much well organized and practical lighting class.
This is one of the best breakdowns ive seen!!

Agreed
You are Amazing 👏 ❤ 💖 💕
Lots of love from INDIA 🇮🇳
This is amazing stuff! I love the way you made highlights and shadows for that 100 million dollar cinema look. The actress acting and the sound makes it all come together like magic!
This is gold, thank you so much for sharing all this for free! Amazing tutorial! This channel along with the Wandering DP are currently my two favourite film making youtube channels.
My principal interest is education, but I started doing a little video work in the last couple of years, and I must mention that this is a fantastic example of how much can be clearly explained and demonstrated in twenty-six minutes without rushing. - Dave
Incredible what light can do. I've learned so much about lighting a scene from this video alone.
every once in a while you come across a BTS/tutorial, you really see the skills of the presenter! Such great tips and insights!
very informative approach to control lighting in a cinematic way! thank you very much for sharing!
Once of the best tutorials on lighting I have seen
This was fantastic! I love the detail. He explained everything! Even putting the sandbag on the tall leg. Love that!!! More of these please!!!
This is now my favourite channel. I haven't even finished the video and you've answered so many questions!
Now this is how you show a lighting set up break down, it’s not confusing like Aputure lighting tutorials. Great Job
Wow, this is an excellent demonstration of how topics like this should be taught. Felt like I was there and no detail was left out. Kudos. Truly makes your entire course well worth the price.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow. The best lighting tutorial I have ever seen. That bathroom looked so boring in the beginning, yet you made it look really good at the end! Camera move was really smooth too
WOW! One of the best tutorials and breakdowns I've seen! Thank you so much for this!
Absolutely great work here. Bathrooms like this are really tough and you really transformed it beautifully!
One of the BEST small space lighting tutorials I have ever seen, very valuable information. This video definitely helped me out in different ways, thank you sir. 👍👏👏👏
This was great. I love the detail you put into explaining the whole thought process and setup. Thank you
This is absolutely golden. My apartment and nearly every apt in NYC also has that light paint walls and it's all over the place
Wowwww! The power of the light and a good organization, framing, etc. Thanks for sharing
Really good demonstration. Thank you for sharing!!!
This is fantastic, one of the best lighting tutorials for filming small spaces that I've found on here. Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Super solid tutorial! Thank you for providing this resource!!
Extremely well presented. Gave a very clear step by step approach. Ill take a look at the course
I don’t know if I should add some suggestions. The tutorial is top notch and some points , which are not even mentioned in other channels, have been covered very well. However , two things I want to suggest , one is not to use tapes on walls . Premium sets might get damaged if tapes are applied like that directly.
The second point is bit of aesthetic . Rather than fighting with the blue incoming light from bedroom, imo it would have looked better if the color temp on camera stayed the same and the key + hair light dialled warmer . That would have created an organic complimentary tone . Although it’s just my personal opinion.
Overall a fantastic tutorial . Thank you .
Oh, are you going to give personal suggestions to the guy who works on professional film sets? Lol
You are right but yeah he said himself it‘s just a matter of taste, depends what you are looking for
iv been in a set before and I couldn't catch all of the informations just watching the action but thanks to this vidéo that went from a boring set with no cool deco and light to a cinematic and deep look, thank you Mr and the team for this vidéo and keep it up
This looks really good! Thanks for this tutorial.

I appreciate that!
Really impressed by the softness of that ledgo tube you used as your key, I would usually have to put some kind of bounce to fill out the under eyes when doing that kind of toppy light but it looked great
Great idea, but you’d see it in the shot, which is why I didn’t add one :-)
This something I been looking for months. You earned a subscriber

Wow this is the best tutor ever!!!
This is How Pro help others... dope tutorial
You sir ,you're a master on lighting any space
Excellent tutorial
I had no idea so much work was necessary to recreate such a simple natural daylight in a bedroom/bathroom. This is going to make me appreciate interior scenes a whole lot more now that I know how many things have to be involved on the lighting alone!
and the hassle David Fincher probably had to go through 😂
Awesome tutorial & interesting technique. I've seen an interview where Greg Frasier (cinematographer of Dune, Mandalorian etc.) mentions he prefers to use as much natural light & as little manipulated lighting. Which would totally go against this since you're taking away the 2 main sources of natural light. So I would actually be very curious how to achieve something similar, with that kind of technique. Not saying that either is right or wrong, since I think, as long as you get what you want to express, it can both be right.
Again, awesome video! Thanks so much for taking the time & instructing us.
I am Tamilnadu Thank U For This Nice And Informative ❤️❤️
