💯 I know many people that have done jail and prison time followed by probation. Many of them openly discuss how they feel they came out of the system mentally worse off than when they went in. There is minimal rehabilitation done and zero accountability done at Department of Corrections. They never say it but its common sense, they need repeat offenders to stay employed. They have no real interest in making a person or society a better place, just want that easy government paycheck and pension.

@@TnVolGal737I’m ignorant? This article is about the shooter’s past criminal charges. If he would have been held accountable for his past crimes and been behind bars, where he belongs, this officer would be ALIVE. So, my opinion is the police are just as responsible for their officers death, as the shooter. If criminals would stop getting a slap on the hand and actually be punished, maybe crime would go down. He was a felon in possession of a firearm, which would’ve surely sent him back to prison. As soon as she asked him to step out of the vehicle, he knew the gig was up and that’s why he was arguing and later fighting to stay in the vehicle. Although the officers had no idea he had a firearm, they had to have known he had priors and what they were when she ran him. Perhaps more officers as a precaution and treated it more like a felony stop at that point. From what I saw, it was NOT the police that escalated. And this is not the first time he has had a standoff with the cops. Did almost the same in 2014. Plus he has had charges for domestic violence. They gave that drugged freak ample time to get out of the car so they could do a sobriety check. They asked him politely many times to get out of the car. For you to make the statement you have just made, I would dare say you have had run-ins with the police. In my opinion, you yourself are a problem waiting to happen. The worst of luck to you!!@@philipcantelon

It's an active investigation. Body cam part of the investigation. He has 26 charges for domestic violence, drugs, having a weapon as a felon, standoff in 2004. Restraining orders, violation of protection. It's easy to find on the Internet. He's a murderer, beat his gf in front of the children.
