Where were the actors and writers when other jobs were being outsourced by technology?
If you can be replaced by a machine you will be.
AI will have the capability to take 90% of jobs within the next 50 years.
@@TC8787-yq7ogProbably 10-20 years
Funny how many jobs and entire industries have disappeared across this country and world, but when their jobs are on the line, now we need laws against it ?
Where were these folks when millions lost their jobs and it wasn't their paycheck on the line ? They didn't care or said, get another job, right ?
What's good for the goose, should be good for the gander. Millions of Americans have to find new careers daily. Why should this be any different? Very rare the cash-cow lasts your entire life.
If movie makers don't want to use AI, then don't use it and the AI industry won't flourish in that market/industry. Supply and demand, right ?
As far as the rest of the AI industry, they don't seem to care, unless it takes the almighty dollar out of their pockets..
It’s the likeness that’s the problem mate. It’s not exactly a clone of you doing menial labor on the production line is it?
@@boyzrulethawld1
What's the difference ? The job itself doesn't matter. When your job becomes obsolete, you move on to something else like everyone else in this world having to do the same thing.
The film industry isn't above and beyond that.
Supply and demand Sir.
@@lostridinfast7734 Well yeah, if we are to treat all industries equally, point taken. If there is a case to be made given that assumption, then it’d be about the actors’ likeness being used, which is another aspect of their personhood besides the job loss.
Finally, if we approach this from a human framework, very soon supply and demand will not cut it. Supply will outstrip demand, and we’ll need drastically alternative solutions for A LOT of humans to not suffer.
@@boyzrulethawld1
Wait, why wouldn't we treat all industries equally ? Jobs are jobs, you make one obsolete, another takes over. This is environmental...
I'm more worried about all the facial recognition camera's all over cities and license plate reader camera's keeping track than I will ever care about the entertainment industry. Hell, look at what has happened to the music industry. Where was the outcry then ??? When was the last time you bought a CD, tape or record ? Hell, when was the last time you bought a DVD or BlueRay ?
AI isn't going to end acting and movies just like ending pay phones didn't end communications and digital downloads didn't end music ...
Also, supply will never "outstrip" demand. Supply is based on profits, if you're not making money because there's no demand, then why keep doing it ?
@@lostridinfast7734 You’re too focused on acting industry to comprehend what i’m saying.
Also I assumed we were talking about labour supply and demand
You can’t stop technology
You can actually lol.. if you're a ceo with a factory you can choose to give people jobs or choose to use the new machinery that will take Jobs away
No one is stopping tech. They are stopping the natural greed of profit that will make ppl homeless and obsolete
@@Biscuitdough unfortunately that will not happen
@@TheRoman4373 sadly 😥
"we will not be replaced" so say the same actors who were ok with ethnics taking your country...
Welcome to the modern world...how many of us have already lost jobs to technology....just think they will get your job too.
Then make yourself irresplaceable
@@deality I am and that's why it cost you +$80 hr for skilled labor..
The best option is to adapt and become an entrepreneur
Adaptation is part of evolution 🧬
I had an experience with Motion Capture and voice acting and have to say even though gaming industry is a colossus these days, voice over actors and mo cap performers are not fully considered 'equal' talent as traditional actors. What's really interesting right now is that the mainstream, 'regular' actors demand royalties for their digital likeness when it's used on new projects they are not technically involved with. Something MoCap actors could relate to... I guess the movie studios figured that their 'creative accounting' and sometimes cruel contracts/ NDA's would go unnoticed into this new era of streaming. They were wrong, preparation is everything and they were completely ill prepared for this new platform of entertainment.
PS. You almost saw me as Leon in the new Resident Evil games :)
The only movie that could benefit from this is M3GAN and the sequel
I find it hilarious that they want anyone to give a damn. None of them gave a single care to automation in working sectors that specifically deal with things people tangibly need (food, clothing, materials to make a home or workplace, other infrastructuce, etc..) vs the wanting of a intangible emotional moment; I don't know anyone that lives off of laughter alone (we need air, water, food you know). Aside from the pay gap between athletes & hollywood bs vs the contruction, manufacturing, processors, distributers, warehousing... These idiots made a bunch of just terrible work a few years prior & follow it up with a strike afterwards? Looks like they're getting a hard reality check. Its also comical these people didn't figure out yet, START your own STUDIO. Clearly the companies you worked for have failed you, your Unions are getting ignored by them and failing you. I actually have to go and look and search for any updates in news reports. Be smart, stay banded & build a new version of Hollywood or get a real job that provides a physically needed tangible service to your community, municipality, state, & country.
Workers suffering anywhere is a threat to workers everywhere.
Just because an arguably small portion of them would be arrogant enough to discredit the works of so many people who are needed to run society, does not mean their hardships are any less valuable to fight against. Workers unite.
Their work in entertainment, this includes actors yes, but also the cameramen, the set designers, the costume designers and whatever else is needed to go into making entertainment; is as valid and real a job as others. They all provide a service.
If you compare today's text to video AI to just 2 years ago then you'd easily see that actors will be replaced in less than 5 years
AI is already replacing radio hosts and Djs, its just a matter of time before Tv reporters and News anchors get replaced as well, let's see if they remain as relaxed by then.
Not all jobs stand the test of time. There's been countless jobs in history that no longer exist today and were replaced with other things. Reading a book is not at all a difficult job, sadly this man has one of the most easiest jobs to automate on the planet. Trying to delay the inevitable is just that...delaying the inevitable. Don't cry about it but instead learn another trade while you still have time to prepare.
Calm down
100% agree.
People are trying to figure out how to make money through AI...there are online courses...and free YT videos on this topic...stay 2 steps ahead
Acting isn't a job. It's an art form; it's designed to help people escape the mundanity of the machine. Automating music, art, writing, and acting will all ruin the remnants of any authentic human expression, and it'll be a total disaster for society. Also, AI will come for the majority of jobs by 2050; I wouldn't be too certain yours will hold up either.
They could have chosen a clip of Cranston where he was speaking English
My question is if AI take all peoples jobs
how does these companies who use Ais get consumers
as people don't have job
Keep them on their toes.... STOP. Asking for More money 💰🤑...... Raising the field on living ......It's so high Now....... just my opinion
Artists aren't asking for more money. They're asking to be paid what they were paid 10 years ago.
well then right there it is AnxMa. ,it seems to me actors likenesses should be protected.
All please y’all knew this was coming. It’s the future
Bad thing that happens in the future
@@fermbush1101Machines taking over is a good thing.
Detroit comes human
yes im ready
Let's get over it! A lot of people will lose their jobs! Such is life!
You realize when people lose their jobs, they don't suddenly get money or their bills go away. It's not just about entertainment industry
I do think the Congress should consider it seriously
They have.. and they dont care. They literally said this. The biggest AI companies are in the US.. for now, and they have a massive sway on congress already. On top of that, these companies can just work elsewhere and have free reign. If that happens the US will fall behind on AI tech and they will never allow that, as to lose the lead in AI is to lose, period. AI could easily be winner takes all, hence why most countries are racing ahead with AI and competition is fierce. Remember, it took AI 6 months to figure out all the 3D proteins that exist. For the first human it took 22 years. So it did 4.8 billion years of human labour in 6 months. Thats the pace that AI works at. Thats whats coming in all areas of science.. and everything else soon.

Hopefully AI takes out “influencers” and politicians next
Or maybe it’s time for a new job? Cuz that sounds like a lot of work…. And you’re prolly not getting paid enough as it is…
👍 Fascinating topic! AI's impact on the entertainment industry is both promising and challenging. Can't wait to see how it unfolds! 🎬🤖 #AI #FutureOfEntertainment
Congress isn't going to act in a way that will save that audio-book reader's job. Unfortunately, he's just not going to be able to keep make a living doing that, for much longer. There'll probably still be a market for humans to do such things, but I'm skeptical it'll be enough to live off. AI will impact virtually everyone, and owes it's existence to years of data and content, collected from everyone, which goes into training it. It should be collectively owned by society, and the benefits of it distributed to everyone as an AI Dividend or UBI.
We probably need a full on general strike, to actually get policymakers to act on this, so we need more people to realize this stuff threatens their near-future too.
M3GAN takes over
Until robots start plugging their projects on talk shows, live actors will have work. Audiences connect with humans. They may connect with machines in time, but it won't be the same.
Still, as a creator, this does suck.
Are the AI robots all going to blow Pete Davidson?
Im sorry but just accept it and learn something else. Youre job will be automated away whether you like it or not.
That job sir is gone...there sgoing to a.i that job I. Sure

Simple jobs will always be lost. Humans of the future will be extremely intelligent by way of natural selection.
"Thou shalt not make a machine in th likeness of a human mind." - Frank Herbert
We are currently going through a great transition of AI, where all of our jobs will get automated and the job market will end. It will be sad to see people lose their livelihoods. But it will be for the greater good as we head over to UBI
Ahh yes the actor strike... What did all those actors say whenever the coal miners lost their jobs to technology... I have no sympathy that they all can't be millionaires like they wish

Whay bounderies? Just find new job
So what actors not all are trash anyway
Luddites. You can't stop progress. Should we ban self-driving taxis because it'll put cab drivers out of work?
You go AI❤🎉🎉🎉
When even the liberal news doesn't mention the woke Hollywood strike, you know interest has significantly decreased. The interest was not there in the first place from non woke Americans anyways....😂😂😂😂😂
Are theses lazy union "writers/actors" still looking for a handout? Completely forgot about them and apparently so have the Hollywood studios.
They keep talking about AI taking actors jobs, but I don't see AI robots on tv I see real people so what is CBS news talking about? I am serious. Yes AI is going to replace some actors vut not all because Tyler Perry, rapper 50 cent are film producers and they have real actors no AI working for them. And I am about to be a film producer myself and I will hire real human actors as well too, not every producer or business owner have to hire artificial intelligence some can still hire real people it's up to you as the producer/business owner you can hire whoever you want.
AI is machine learning. Machines learn from us, corporations want to replace as many people as possible with AI. Laws now! Require AI tag!
