Glad you stayed in a different area of London plus sampling DLR and LCY. Some followers say LCY is cramped or like a "bus station" but this airport dates from the late 1980s and was originally designed as a select airport for corporate users...so small aircraft, only biz class fares, no lounges as check-in even with luggage was only 10 mins. But of course things changed over the years with management seeking growth by attracting leisure and business travellers.
LCY is great if you’re just flying in and out. Forget about the fact that airports have to have fine dine, lounges and shopping. I always hope that Kai Tak is still around and operate like LCY. Small planes & strict curfew. I’m staying Kowloon Bay right now, and jog on some evenings to Kai Tak old runway and terminal area. Crazy to think I was jogging on a former airport land!

hotel was about 150CHF per night Food- I brought a lot of M&S snacks over 🤣 Free breakfast in hotel. I still spent an average of 20-30CHF per day. Public transport- day 1-3 I got the 3-day Zurich card 55CHF, day 4-6 I got the Swiss Pass, was something like 220CHF One of my most expensive trips ever!

You made me yearn for Zurich!! I have done that walk around the lake and seen the sculptures, also been up to that lookout for the view, such a beautiful and expensive city. We found the cheapest eats were at department stores, most of which have good restaurants.
Appreciate the efficiency of BA's operations at LCY! Can't help but compare thrse to airlines which announce final call even before the aircraft arrives. Not only annoying but a completely deceptive lie! So much time and productivity wasted on uncomfortable airport benches
hahaha I used to catch Qantas QF730 all the time. 6am Adelaide to Sydney (to catch an international flight from there). In winter it’s pitch dark departure. In summer, you need sunscreen at the window seat🤣

JW…..I made a strong cup of coffee and sat down to watch this vlog. Just gets better and better. (You I mean) Interesting about Stratford in east London….my brother used to live there in 92 and it was a dump…now it is very fashionable and smart looking and accessible. BA seemed very astute and your review of them was great. 6’ 0” (aka Paxton) and I flew the A380 form LHR to ORD last sept….we got upgraded to Clubworld and they were excellent. Zurich looked great (and the other places too). Yes Switzerland is very expensive but you get what you pay for and the public transport is spot on. That scenery was unbelievable. Wish I was there. Hope you had a great time and thanks for keeping us well-informed and most entertained….Mr Cooooh Hoooook….Bobo

BA Cityflyer are treated as a separate company within a company. They operate on different lines from BA mainline f3rkm Heathrow and BA Euroflyer from Gatwick. They only operate from London City to business and a few leisure routes in Europe only. Some routes do a hot breakfast.

I absolutely love this aircraft type. Gosh flights in and out of LCY is almost double when I last flew from ZRH. I ended up flying into LHR.
oh yeah LCY flights do go very expensive when it's selling out, someone just told me they paid 400 pounds for somewhere in Europe to LCY in economy!

Not entirely accurate. This airline also operates from a number of regional routes to leisure destinations usually at times when LCY is closed.
