That's super cool about the cummerbund and the rear plate bag. I personally prefer rigid/reinforced cummerbunds, and the way y'all incorporate velcro and cord panels are also super interesting.

Would the back plate carrier be suitable for holding a 40lb iron ruck plate?
It looks like the back plate is only supported by that one strip of velcro along the bottom of the plate pocket seen at 4:30
Honestly not sure on that, you are correct that just the Velcro flap on the bottom retains the plate.
