One tip for using epoxy in tight places. Go to a farm supply store and get some veterinary syringes from the medical department. Works like a charm.

If you use the grey pvc threaded fittings found in the electrical aisle instead of the plumbing type, you will have better range of threading. The threading of pvc plumbing vs. pvc electrical conduit is basically identical with the only difference is the plumbing stuff has a taper designed into them for sealing and the electrical maintains a constant diameter.

FYI When you use plastic or wood on a grinding stone they get clogged up and the heat can't escape ! They then EXPLODE in your face ! I've seen this happen. Pieces even went through his safety glasses and into the guy's eye socket. A belt sander should be used.

Not the only way to apply epoxy. Perhaps the pvc should be lightly sand to ensure good adhesion

A good method for protecting the threads from the epoxy is either a mold release spray like a dry film silicone or a healthy coat of petroleum jelly. Either of which would stop the epoxy from bonding to the threads and clean up easy.

Went to home depot and Lowes today. Could NOT find the 1" threaded pipe nipples you used. Those are pvc/plastic right? I ended up buying metal ones that look similar. If those are plastic, where in the store did you find them?
