    Thx man for making this video. All I did was disconnect the 2 cables and spray em out with electrical cleaner. Figured I'll plug em back in and turn the key to see if that would be enough. Got lucky I guess.

    I have a 2007 F150. I had the same issue. In the process at @1:07 I cracked the top of the dash above the driving wheel trying to get it off. It's 15yrs old and brittle. Hello I watched a few of your videos. I have question? If you instead decide to go buy new cluster or buy used from junk yard. Does it need to be recalibrated if you do not use same cluster. I have a 2003 Ford Focus. Thank you

  • @kronos0848
    @kronos0848 Před 4 lety

    I bought a similar odometer from a Junk Yard to replace the old single Speedometer... Soon as I got it and replaced it, it was fine till I noticed the Rear dome light dimmed on and sometimes the inside Would flicker on and off. After unplugging and plugging and a Wiggle, the odometer went out. Faulty Odometer? Loose Connections? Programming?

      Definitely faulty cluster. We have serviced thousands of these and they all will eventually fail.

      @@AutomotiveCircuitSolutions my dome lights and cargo light sometimes like to stay on while driving, after shutting truck off for some time, ect. Is that an issue with my cluster? No other instrument issues (brake light, odom, door ajar, all work as should). Thx

  • @paulburns3165
    @paulburns3165 Před 5 lety

    I have a 2006 F150 XLT. Here are my problems:
    Brake Light comes on and stays on
    Odometer went blank but backlight is on.
    Cluster of warning lights comes on/off. When they come on, my RPM, MPH, and Temp gauge all drop down until the lights go off and then they go back to where they were.
    Sometimes radio will not shut off when truck is off and doors open.
    Not sure if this one is controlled by the gauge cluster, but sometimes my door locks engage while driving even after the initial time.
    Can you guys fix these problems?

    I have a 2004 f150 for some reason i dont have the ding ding sound when key is on the ignition neither when the door is open. Also no power to the dash, no blinkers and no stereo. Truck wont crank neither turn on i already replace the battery and check all the fuse. Could it be a bad key? Thanks in advance..

    Thank you for the video, but may I make a suggestion? It may not be entirely necessary, but shouldn't you remove power from the dash before taking the cluster apart?
    I haven't done this job (yet), but if there's one thing I've learned over the years is that it's generally always better to remove a battery cable before working on the electrical systems of today's electronic-controlled cars. Sometimes all it takes is one short and you can say bye-bye to some of the electronic components, possibly even the PCM.
    Just my 2-cents.
