I'm going on a 9day one in July 5th as well.
We will be sailing on her in April, smaller ships are great! We have also been on NCL Gem twice and the Pearl.

Overall, a pretty good walk through the NCL Sky. I have been on the NCL Sky multiple times, and it is the only ship I especially love with the large porthole window staterooms on deck 8 (midships), of course. The Sky does not have any bad balconies due to its design, because the ship was designed first, and the balconies added later. However, the balconies do come with one drawback, and that is thin walls. The changes that were made on the NCL Sky were not all good in my opinion only, with the latest refurbishment done in 2019. The placement of certain bars, bartenders and type of drinks served is everything on a small ship. With a smaller ship such as the NCL Sky, you would think a higher quality of food is important, but only noted in specialty restaurants had been the general rule on any cruise line. Why pay the extra fees for dining if nothing special comes of it? There is little to compare otherwise, because it is pretty much all coming out of the same kitchen apart from some specialty restaurants. Basically, when food is purchased for mass consumption to the public it is difficult to order various qualities verses quantities and get the same price. No matter what type of business exists, the bottom-line is always taking center stage. Special chefs know how to bring out certain flavors by using temperature, seasoning, and of course paying attention to paring with both vegetables and wine, etc. Cruise-line's vendors come from all areas of the world with the same expectations no matter what cruise-line a cruiser sails. If the refrigeration or storage of meat/ vegetables is off, it will choke off the vendor's source of income immediately. Note, without music throughout the ship, especially on a small ship, a cruiser will be forced to listen to the loud chatter of other cruisers. Also, it is harder to find privacy or a have basic private conversation without someone else listening in on a smaller ship. On the NCL Sky music was never an issue for me or my family and could be heard throughout the ship. Needless to say, the NCL Sky holds a special place in my heart due to the memories of past sailings. I have plans to sail at a future date in November and hope to open the doors to the past that exist somewhere in my mind, as well as making new memories of places in various ports of calls. In my opinion, a ship doesn't have to be perfect (old or new) to have a great time on a vacation. The ship just needs to serve as a vehicle (not unlike a car, bus or plane) to get you where you are going in life and nothing more.

Saw another video about the ship, and the ppl mentioned that the air quality in the interior room is bad? And that the temperature in the rooms is way too hot? Did you noticed it? Thx for a very helpful vid!
Never had an issue with air quality with the port hole rooms. My girlfriend and I were fine.
Air temperature was also fine. We did move it to the coldest setting

Thanks for this video! We are taking a 9 day Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon on the Sky in June. This will be our first cruise. I would love to try a larger ship one day to see what it’s like but I think this will be perfect for our intimate honeymoon.

Yes sailed on his baby years ago. She's an excellent little ship; I have no problem with this size. It's definitely from a simpler time of cruising when pretty much anything goes had a fantastic experience! Now sailing on the ship is very easy to get around and very simple now Norwegian is noted have some very small cabins but on the older ship at least when I sealed on it this sweets were still a little bit bigger than average for Norwegian at the time food is average it's Norwegian the food is always like that it looks better than it actually tastes definitely had a good time so if you can get the ship for a reasonable price I would go on it it seems like it only does really short sailings now personally I would still like to have a day or two at sea to really enjoy this ship it looks like on this trip there at a port everyday once you've seen the islands of the Bahamas 35 + times to me that's enough so I would have probably stayed on the ship for the day and we would have went out and got a nice dinner at night also depends what time the ship is therefore also for your first-time Cruisers this size ship to me is a perfect to start out on to see if you really enjoy it or not I've been with people that's been on their first cruise and went on a mega ship and for them it was overwhelming because of reservations and them not knowing the ropes so if you don't choose this Cruise Line look at ships around the same size maybe book one and see how you do!

I worked on her when she was the Pride of Aloha. She is old but a great ship. Mega ships are overated. Only problem is NCL is shady with their employees.

@@Sportsmonkey They send a friend home with one month left on his contract and gave him a very rude letter. He contacted his boss who said he was offed early but has postive feedback. What good is a contract if it is not honored? They must be in a cash crunch?

Made it back from our ten day trip. Would I want this room again for that duration? Nope. Had to use some storage hacks to get though it. Organization is the key.
Ya, idk what to say regarding the food. Usually served luke cold in the dining rooms. It was disappointing. All the hype had us really looking forward to Cagneys, sadly it did not deliver. 🤷♀️.
