Nostalgia... I miss that game so much ^^
Wow, the writing feels like a massive improvement here compared to the base game. The lore feels so much more fleshed out and establishes a lot of what I've seen in GW2 - the Charr being multi-factional and not pure evil base beasts, the end of the Dwarves, the introduction of the Norn and the Asura, and the hints at the end about the birth of the Sylvari and the threat of the Elder Dragons. Plus, an actual cast of characters that stay with you through the entire thing and have character development and relationships. Vekk is legitimately lovable and Pyre Fierceshot has some absolutely fire lines. Thanks for putting this together, I feel like I understand the Guild Wars world history a lot better now!

Man I don't know if you'll see this so long after, but THANK YOU for this! I played GW1 back in the day and GW2 at launch and just got back into GW2 with my wife so watching these has been amazing!

Heh, yea, that ban thing... let's just hope for the best :D Hope I'll never have to experience that. I'd miss GW1 a lot. And nopes, these videos won't ever be monetized because it's not my copyright -- what I get back from all this work is the joy of my fellow GW1 fans and a huge dose of nostalgia for the years and decades ahead, should GW1 ever be shut down. Which I don't hope either :P

I was a bookah so often! I even use the term in my rpg adventures! That was a good game. Furthermore all the quest from Eye of the North were so epic, and entertaining. When I look at the graphics today it seems far removed, but then it was not so bad. Gwen from the beginning was a little girl you helped in the tutorial, but she turned out to be the leader of the Ebon Guard. Ogden, the last dwarf was the one to lead you to King Jalis and to destroy the destroyers. And last, Vekk the Asura led you to Rata Sum the fortress of logical thinking and golemancy! Yes, I agree, that was the best MMO ever!
41:49 is my favourite quote in the game. Back in the day, something that emotional was so rare to be seen in games.
Edit: Also the fact that Gwen was the one knowing how to stop the dragon champion? 48:07 What a Queen.
"One good act does not redeem your people" etc. -- oh yes! Gwen was remarkable. She was emotionally violated, traumatized -- but she refused to be a victim, she started to fight! She was a very strong character. Even Pyre had lots of respect for her, or he would have treated her very differently during their conflicts.
