Why is LM7’s art so good? / Arknights Art Style Analysis

LM7 is the illustrator of the characters Ceobe and Angelina in Arknights. I wanted to study LM7’s warm and contrasting colours as well as the proportions and how clothing folds were drawn in LM7’s works. So, here’s a full guide on my thoughts and how I studied LM7’s works to (hopefully) get better at drawing character illustrations.

LM7 Drawing detail is amazing, i like how Angelina and Ceobe use a tactical design but still feel free to move and such. Until now i can still understand there are artist who only draw the sketch and start do the color right away. Thank you for the amazing tutorial again!
I think you might be interested in LM7's newest character, Ho'olheyak, which in my opinion was the most complex and also the BG was something else.
That 14 days wasnt wasted if it could let you create something for us in less than 15 minutes + your work, especially your colours has improved a lot since your last video. Thanks and keep up the art grind!
about the hair, i dont think lm7 would make ling's hair more fluffy/wavy because the original hair is supposed to be loose , like hairs in 0:48 , i think its not about the wavy hair but how the curly details on the hair, other than that great video tho. keep up neo-chan ☺ btw i've been waiting for so long for your video to came out 🙃(im still learning too)
I've never seen or heard of LM7 but their art looks really cool, I always enjoy seeing process videos like this and I think your illustration for this art study turned out pretty good, the dragon is really cool as well

Love to see your progress and how you draw your colors. I have a similar situation with one of my artworks right now. The character is done and fully rendered and while I was thinking of a background I started seeing mistakes and now I'm thinking to fix the mistakes and then draw the background which delayed everything. I think this sometimes happens to artists, so don't feel bad about it. The pose of the feet looks a little unnatural, but I think I know which pose you tried to draw. Sometimes female characters are drawn with their legs facing each other to look more dynamic or cute. I never drew it because I struggled practicing it and haven't understood it completely. I like how you drew the Dragon, the scales sure were a lot of work. The colors look very beautiful together. Keep up the good work! I found you on Twitter and followed :3

WOAH The Dragon Is Soo Cool
I’d say drawing all those triangles was definitely worth it to make it look as Amazing as it does, It’s the Star of the Art for sure even if it doesn’t have much to do with LM7’s Style 😅
I think you got the Face look pretty close, it was instantly recognizable that it was Ceombee’s Artist.
One thing I really like about LM7’s E2 arts is that all of them have the heads of the thing they’re based on poking out around them.
With the exception of Ho’olheyak that has the Serpent body all around her, Actually kinda like your Ling Dragon so I guess it does have similarities to their Art.
