Hi Tom - very useful insight and information for some background to MTSS here, well summarised. I'm completing my Physiotherapy dissertation on this topic - specifically on risk factors for the injury in runners. I was wondering if you would be able to signpost me to the literature you spoke about at 4:17 - about runners increasing their running time when experiencing pain to just 20 mins, as well as any relevant for the topic of Gluteal muscle weakness relating to the injury in Women at 9:15, as I have not managed to find anything about these topics so this would be interesting. Thank you in advance :)

Sometimes the pain in my shins don't let me even warm up to run. Very frustrating. I'm dealing with this pain in the past two years...

Mine doesnt hurt during run but it would be sore to press on hours after the run and its been going on for years

    Helpful content indeed!
However, I was wondering if there is a danger of misdiagnosing between Tibial Stress Fracture and MTSS. In the video you used Winters et al article, in which only 54 athletes participated. Not enough to be sure for complete and 100% diagnosis using only history and physical examination. Isn't it necessary to ask for a orthopeadic evaluation to exclude strees fracture?

Hi, thanks for this great video. I've had multiple attempts, and numerous methods, at trying to get ahead of mtss. I find the progressive bone loading regime to be a great approach, and have a quick question regarding that. Of course the aim is not to push until you begin to feel the pain, but is there any benefit in possibly icing the area of pain after every bone loading session, just in case of any irritation? Hope that makes sense! Thanks
