Two other places where UPI still needs to penetrate. a) Embassies do not accept UPI or RUPAY payment while accepting E-visa applications. b) Airline companies internationally do not accept RUPAY/UPI. Here VIsa and MAster still rule.

UPI is a convenience while paying when you have no cash in pocket.
It is an inconvenience while printing the pass book. Especially when small payments ( 20, 30 50 etc) fills up the pages after pages.

Passively demonetisation helps India to build this UPI. Because post demonetisation every individual needs to open bank account and parallelly then govt was helping people to open zero balance account. As a matter of fact post demonetisation bank account of every indivudual is necessary and aadhar card, pan card are added extra security. Stage was perfectly prepared. Now at the time of covid pandemic ( from 2020 march April) we indians had received huge obstacles regarding our daily life transactional activities including cash/debit/credit card system. We need another payment which should have been much user friendly than online payement system like NEFT.
Here comes UPI. Just using phone no. within a second payments are materialized. Just unimaginable.

Payment limit Ko Unlimited Kr Dena Chahiye Fir Cards Aur Cheque Ki Need Hi khatam ho jayegi.For Example Kisi ne 10 crore ki payment karni hai Wo Bhi UPI se hi ho. Aur Transactions ki Bhi Limit Hata Dena Chahiye Fir Bnega UPI World Class Product 👍👍

Its CA'w point of view but if you look at technical prospect so UPI is the case of paytm who made qr viral in india and looking toward the trend government not want private company to control money so they designed the upi and told company to use this... otherwise they can ban(it wasn't told but it could happen)

One problem we should be aware of is hacking... If our company upi tackles it then it can go globally easily... But once if it goes globally and the cyber attack or threats occurs.. Then the blame will be forwarded directly to india who originated this system... Being an indian ibam proud to have this feature..
