Green american dollar bills. so like buying food gas or bullets all 99.9999999 percent of the people that buy the gold or silver will only be getting the people that sell the commodity wealthier. if you really believe things will get so bad that everything will fall apart you need food that can last 25-50 years. and lots lots lots of bullets. i love gold and silver. but as a hobby. not an investment

Regarding the rest of your statement, Shane has been an Investment Advisor for 30 years and many of his clients have their IRAs and 401ks backed by gold and silver, so no, cash is not required. It may not be the solution for you, but it is certainly part of a balanced portfolio for many. A lot of those clients watch this channel as well. Glad you brought it up so that I could clarify.
