Hey Doc. You should tell your friend Eric to keep his eye out for a British army jungle/survival knife if he likes the sort of knife you can use to open crates. The British army doesn't like to issue knives other than a bayonet but soldiers needed them for the jungle. Fills the role of a knife axe crowbar. They are quite rough in the handle finish but soldiers used to sand the handles to how they like them. Made in Sheffield usually by j nowells I belive and usually have the name, year and military arrow(ducks foot) symbol stamped on the blade or handle scale.
Mine was bought brand new old stock for £35/$38 . Very heavy duty knife.
Thank you!! I’ll pass this along!!
WOW! Wish I was there to get my hands on those WW2 blades.. too cool 😎.. I appreciate the history behind those gems.. killer lunch man.. can’t think of a better way 👍 great video Kevin

Germany vs USA, Canada, UK, Russia and Germany still held on strong. Germans were a fighting force of all time.
Don't know if you read all of the posts, but this would be a great video for you to see!!! Random on my computer!!! ZAC IN THE WILD 1 year ago, I BROKE MY KNIFE he actually went to Buck knife warranty center with some knives, an Eye Opener!!!
I will have to check it out. Thanks for sharing.
I bought that fisherman's knife off of eBay same body, it doesn't have the resets nail pull but it is a lock back. Now the seller said it is brand new never been used and in the original box says Queen Cutlery 45 liner lock. The blade says Queen #45LL but no serial number on the blade. The knife also has BIG CHIEF. I wonder since it doesn't have serial number on the blade does that mean it may have been made some ware else?
No. Queen didn’t always stamp USA on their knives.
Western made the l-71 seabee knife for the u.s.n basically the same as thise quartermaster knife
👍✌️🫶👌❤️🇨🇦
