It's true what he says about making the crowd feel comfortable, he's really cool about people getting onstage etc. I saw him in Brighton and he stopped playing to tell a bouncer to fuck off because he kept aggressively shoving this one kid off stage.

Yea I saw him 2 years ago and this really gross girl kept screaming “Daddy!!” at him and the whole time I had to refrain from screaming at her, then some guy next to me asked if I was an art student “because of my haircut”.... definitely not fun people to be around but the show was great nevertheless

Joe King I’ve recently got into Mac and love his vibe and overall approach. But first of all the untalented still greatly outweigh the talented sadly, and let’s just chill with comparing him to Paul McCartney. Do you really comprehend the sheer talent and magnitude of Paul McCartney? That guy literally dreams up timeless classics like it’s nothing. I mean Mac writes great tunes but there’s just no comparing him to one of the greatest game changers in music history.
@@miserableunoriginal look at it this way, had Paul McCartney written e.g. "Let Her Go" we'd all be praising him again and saying "he's still got it!" people put these classic artists on pedestals when really all they did was write great songs in a different era. FYI if Mac is the new McCartney then Avey Tare is the new John.
Joe King I don’t think you fully grasp how the Beatles completely changed the landscape of music as a whole. I love Mac but the dudes not pumping out legit timeless classics. Lennon/McCartney literally set the bar for basically every band that’s followed them since. They revolutionized the way rock and roll and pop music was written/recorded/and consumed. I’m not trying to hate on Mac whatsoever, i just don’t think you truly understand the musical and cultural effect the Beatles had on the entire world. They essentially laid the ground work for what rock and roll is today. And to circle it back to just Paul, I mean the guy wrote “Let it Be”, “Hey Jude”, “blackbird”, “Eleanore Rigby”, and dreamt up “yesterday” (which happens to be the most covered song in the history of recorded music).
