I finally got my very own Bernina!
I've been looking for the one machine that can rule them all...and this is it!
Sewing, Embroidery, Free Arm, mostly metal...very sturdy and strong machine.
I don't like the automatic needle threader on it and will be examining it closer to see if I can improve it. I will also have to learn how to use the embroidery function.
So far, loving it!!
Hi. I just bought this machine at a brilliant price ( well, I thought so) 2 weeks ago, but not used it as it looked too complicated as no instruction manual came. But I have a basic idea now. So thank you very much for this video xx
BIG CONGRATS!!!! Nothing better than a Bernina! I'm looking for and love the Records (930, 830, 730 and the most rare, 530 ^ _ ^ ). Still haven't found a good 201. TFS! (HUUGS)

What would be good price for this machine. Very clean barely used lady bought new, way back had stroke, never opened much.. works well.
It would depend on your area...but I rarely see them go less than $700 ish. Bernina is a well known name brand that goes for a high price. I would grab any in the 500.00 range
I have had this same machine for 7 years, but my reverse near the needle no longer works. but works on the screen.
having trouble threading the machine
Having trouble fixing thread to come up to catch upper thread to start to sew.
see. Have the artists 165 Bernina
Look into the bobbin door and either hand crank the machine or push lightly on the peddle, see if the thread is coming around the bobbin case? also make sure your bobbin in not in backwards. or just flip the bobbin around in the case, and try sewing.
I have a Bernina Artista 170. My needle is off center and I cannot find any instructions on how to recenter it. Does anyone have any advice? I bought my machine in the early 2000s when living in Germany.

On the 165 the setting is in the front, (blue buttons) on the far right, lower buttons. hope that helps

How much did you pay for it
