I am from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Some of the Azaans around my vicinity are quite praiseworthy. The rendition of the bangali azaan by this fellow(arab?) in this video, is more adherent to simple azaans of bangali villages. A month ago I was in my village home. The homes in our village are like islands. They have empty arable lands between each other. So, when night falls, it becomes very quiet and tranquil and dark. Occasional sounds of the crickets are heard. Sometimes foxes barking in unison and nothing else. I was sitting on my verandah and it was time for Isha prayers. The isha azaan from our village mosque was being recited. That simple azaan. Hello!! It was so profoundly beautiful. I surely had a transcedental experience. It was me and that Azaan and nothing in between us. I love azaans from the villages of bengal. Its my prerogative. You have a problem with that.

And I can recall,in ramjan, hearing Esha azan in this tone and accent coming from far away specially in rainy evening was some kinda feelings, l can't explaim that makes you think about after life and full your heart with joy and sadness at the same time.that reminds me how much life was beautiful, simple and full of joy back then.l m feeling older.I miss those days badly.

All the arabs in background with a superiority complex received a nice little giggle at the expense of the indo subcontinent accent azaan, the muazzin’s try Thier absolute best to apply melody to Adhaan as gifted by Allah and here we have typically the “chosen” arabs laughing away in the background of video. Remember what صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said “Allah doesn’t look at your wealth or your faces, He سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى looks at your deeds...” and the final words of the messenger صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ in his farewell sermon were “...no white has superiority over a black man...” and vice versa. I don’t mean to generalise as I have met very humble arabs, but in many cases they look down upon others, which is a shame and pathetic. Consider yourself fortunate Allah made you naturally speak the arabic language... but that doesn’t necessarily gaurentee you jannah... Abu Taalib and Abu Lahab lived WITH the messenger and spoke better arabic than any arab of today yet they are destined for Jahannum... so next time you laugh or mock someone... remember that. السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته (and no, I’m not bengali)

    As a Jew....
This is one of the reasons I wish our peoples were on much better terms....it's such a gift to be able express one's self and respect for G-d, by being able to vocalize in a way that is different and special in each way it's presented. Every melody important, every inflection divine. Chazan and Azans (we even share words), both have a holy gift to be able to project a voice that catches the attention and hearts of the people in their presence and in the praise of G-d.
    Peace be unto you, Cousins.
