    Playing shallow bass drums my whole young life and then transitioning to deeper bass drums in the late 80's, I had forgotten the feel of a shallow kick. I FN LOVE IT! I didn't realize how much better it feels to me.

    Offer that color in the regular stage custom sizes and you got a winner

    Thank you! since portability is a major factor in favour of this kit, it suprises me that there are no dedicated bags for this shell kit. Which bag/case do you recommend?

    • @JonathanWoodall
      @JonathanWoodall Před rokem

      I read somewhere that it was made to fit into Yamaha's standard kit bags but you may wanna look into that to be sure.

    Could a similar low volume kit be configured with the DTX6 module?

      If you were to change the head to mesh heads, or if you put extra triggers on the regular heads, then yes.

    Do you get a lot of bleed from other instruments on stage?

    May be add a 16x11 floor tom make this drum set more interesting 😊

    Incredible kits! They sound fat has hell given the shallow depth.

    • @brajkraft
      @brajkraft Před 2 lety

    I would of liked 10” or 12” deep

    They’re too expensive, got a Tama Club Jam set for much less $$…….

    • @DrummerGrrrl
      @DrummerGrrrl Před 3 lety

      Yamaha is ALWAYS overpriced for what they offer. I actually like Yamaha drums but you're right, the Tama kit is so much cheaper and sounds awesome.

    • @scottsmith4238
      @scottsmith4238 Před 2 lety +3

      But then again, take into account that the Tama is poplar-based - which is a cheap wood that doesn't sound great. These are birch.

    Bass Drum sound is Soooooo processed, mic'd, equalized to sound big. Please do NOT do this. Post another video demonatrating the TRUE sound of this bass drum.

    • @spasevrp
      @spasevrp Před rokem

      But that’s the point. If you are playing on a cramped small stage you will need to have that done.

    • @raylombardo4186
      @raylombardo4186 Před rokem

      @@spasevrp B.S. Good drummers don't need processing to use dynamics. Cramped stage......?Muffling does not decrease volume....only natural sustain and resonance.

    • @spasevrp
      @spasevrp Před rokem

      @@raylombardo4186 It's not just about dynamics. Again it can be about the size space the drummer would have no choice but to work with and the mix that the band hears and what is going through the mains. Not every drummer has the luxury of a space large enough for their kit and a full stage for their bandmates. You need to take into account who this kit actually marketed for.
