They're like the equivalent of jpeg jumpscares in gmod horror maps
honestly the jumpscares were also way too frequent. there should be some buildup that would scare you, like with The Man from the Fog where he sort of stands there, teasing you and making you tense.
for puff, bro is so un-scared of the mod he literally says "hi" to the monsters while the others are creeped the fuck out on what the monsters are doing

Yess, all of those modes are so bad at being scary. The only thing they can do - scare you with jumpscares, and imo, none of the minecraft horror modes should be like this, cuz the game has so much potential for liminal stuff, for me the game is creepy without any modes, and it would be great if some mode would’ve just upgraded this creepiness
