I adore Rick Florian, but Schlitt really brings another dimension to this song. I love it.

@@crusheverything4449 No reason to be sorry. Everyone's entitled to be so very, very wrong. Schlitt is a vocal legend in both secular and Christian music history. Florian is a B-lister in the Christian realm only. You're right that there's no comparison, but you've got your money on the wrong horse.

Love that John still has added some of the old Petra rifs. Hosted him as a single worship show at Lackland AFB 23 years ago and he is still awesome as ever!!

I hope Ric Florian (Rick, Rik, Rique, ...?) Hehehehe has heard this song. VERY Well done, John knocked it out of the park here. I’m a WhiteHeart loyalist thru and thru, but wow what a performance.
I remember seeing Petra with John in August 1988 at Great Adventure NJ, and was for This Means War tour. I was a thorough Greg Volz fan, but John was very very impressive, and furthermore won me over to all his next albums including Petra Praise.
God Bless you Mr. Schlitt... such an amazing God Given talent.

There's a reason for that. That's pretty much exactly what "Union of Sinners & Saints" is...
Except I only recognize one White Heart guy. But still, I can only imagine what my teenaged heart would be feeling, knowing a Petra/White Heart mashup would happen ;0) John.does still sound great, and has anyone ever seen him not look happy? After Greg left Petra, I swore I'd never ever listen again. Luckily that turned out to be a very idle threat.
Both bands taught me more scripture than I learned in church, encouraged me more times than I can count. It was so great to grow up with such excellent music.

We usually like the first version we hear first, but I do agree - there seems to be more life when Ric Florian is jumping around the stage.
I like this cover, but the original has a lot more energy.
Great vocals n rhythm guitars n keys, however guitar solo a bit weak, nice outro guitar licks.
