There is a chance 2015 draft will be the greatest draft of all time. Not just because McDavid special talent, but whole draft is ridiculously talented.

@@brianschryver8314 The 1st round is just the iceberg, 2015 draft is deep in the later rounds as well. Like 5th round Kaprizov, Terry, Garland, Bear or 6th round Mangiapane, Gavrikov, Marino or Aho 35th, Hintz 39th.

What an insanely deep draft. I mean... yea Mikko would go higher in hindsight, but all 9 of those names are recognizable NHL quality players. How often do you get 10 mid-top tier players in the first 10 picks of a draft?
You get 10 mid-top tier players in every draft. There are 32 teams, 192 Top6 forwards and 64 Top2 defencemen in the leauge. Obviously you get around 15-20 of them every draftyear.
Nevertheless, Rantanen should have gone as number two after McDavid that year.
It's pretty insane that Rantanen wasnt atleast in top 3. He is literally the best winger in league right now

Pretty hard to project players futures, very debatable about who is the top winger these days. Colorado did extremely well for 10th overall.

Weird to have a video that doesn't have anything about the player in the title.
Top 10 of this draft was pretty damn awesome-including Rantanen-whod have to go 2 or 3 if ya redrafted.
One of the best drafts ever, but Finns were soo overlooked. Rantanen dropped to 10th (and out of this video it appears?), but he was not the most overlooked.
Sebastian Aho dropped out of the first round (drafted in the early second), as did Roope Hintz (drafted late second round).
In a re-draft Rantanen, Aho and Hintz could all be gone in the first 5 selections.
Kakko #2 overall as Patrik Laine. The best robbery ever was Winnipegs pick #10 in 1988. Teemu Selänne 76 goals as rookie. A record that will never be taken away from him.
@@madsbuhris I was speaking of this draft class specifically, when considering how Finns were overlooked.
But I do think that many Finns from earlier generations were overlooked too, and Selänne is probably not even the best example of this (albeit a very good one).
What about earlier names like:
Jari Kurri #69 (the only name to contend with Selänne about GOAT Finnish hockey player)

...that is, especially Jari Kurri some Grand Theft kind of drafting. Good job from the Oilers drafting them both.

...swap in Selänne instead of Kapanen, and you basically have the best Finnish line ever - which actually played together (Turin Olympics comes to my mind).
But yeah, plenty of busts later. But Kakko and Laine have serious talents, so I would not write them off yet, or say that they were overdrafted. I think that NYR have mismanaged Kakko a bit, and Laine has been one of the better goal scorers in the NHL, when "on" and healthy. I'd rather insert Puljujärvi above Kakko and Laine, if we were to consider busts (but Pulju is very talented too).

Aho is center, most important player on Carolina. Mikko has MacKinnon in his center, so it helps a lot.

No Canadian team has won anything for 30 years and it's unlikely to change any time soon with the way NHL looks today.
Just lots of individual trophies for regular season excellence. Too bad there’s always gotta be some boat anchor contracts on the oilers, would be fun if they didn’t overpay for Lucic, Cambell, and even Nurse on a better deal. Leon helps compensate a bit, but still. Need some cheap prospects to pick up the ball and run
@@jozefmasny8349 I think it’s still possible. Look at how many teams made solid runs but just couldn’t finish in the last 30 years. Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton were all just 1 win away. Ottawa was close. Montreal got swept in the final, but still made the final. Even Winnipeg had one good run. Toronto fans have been pretty disappointed since forever though.

Yes, and the criticism has been that the video would be better if it included something about the player they are being compared to. The ending is abrupt as well.
You need to learn to pronounce thing’s properly. Names and cities shouldn’t be mispronounced as often as you did. You also kept saying defensive-man that’s not a thing it’s defenseman solid content but your inability to speak well is a serious detraction
