  • Ford has finally decided to drive in the much awaited facelifted 2017 EcoSport. This iteration gets a refreshed exterior design, updated cabin with more features and the new 1.5L Dragon petrol power plant in both manual and automatic options. While the diesel model will continue to be sold, Ford has decided to pull the plug on the EcoBoost variant.

    Great review...I think this particular review is better than the PD’s Ecosport First drive.Liked the fact that they also explain about the TDCI engine👍

    No cooled clove box ...no rear ac vents....u didn't mention any negatives....also new petrol engine mileage

    If it struggles while overtaking...just use the paddle shifters...simple🤗🤗

    If its generating 120 BHP , why would car struggle at overtakes etc.. is it gear ratios wrong..

    Hi. I wud like to knw how is ecosport diesel titanium with 16inch tyres on bad roads. Im planning it. My roads are full of bad patches and potholes. If i upsize the tyres to 215/60 r16 is it gona be better ???

    17 inch wheels are practical for indian condition (low prof) and diesel clutch is heavy or optimum

      Sumit Lamba It depends on what you want. 16 inch rims will surely give you a better ride but won't look as good as the 17 inches. The clutch on the diesel is not that heavy and the torquey engine makes it a good city car

    I have a question my budget is around 11 lakh and I am confused between s cross zeta, top end nexon dieselband new EcoSport diese titaniuml. My requirement is that car should be giving confidence at higher speeds good suspension and good space in the back seat, better for long drives as well as city rides full of features. Please provide your valuable suggestion which one should I go for I am not one of those people who is inclined towards the SUV bandwagon it is not necessary that car should look like an SUV . Awaiting your reply

      I'd suggest you do a detailed study of new S-cross and take a test drive of that car thoroughly. After Sales service is equally important for any vehicle. Maruti is the best in this section and then Hyundai followed by Honda and Ford.

      abhi abbacus I've not seen a comparison review of S-cross and Nexon but I'd watched the initial launch review of Nexon. I'd say I'm not impressed with it. S-cross is far better than Nexon in my personal opinion. I also see that Maruti's after-sales service network is stronger than the others and parts are cheap so you do not have to think twice before getting something fixed in your vehicle. Nexon is Tata's first SUV in this segment so you need to wait and watch how it fairs in the market. I see that Tata has started picking up small design pieces from its JLR stream to give a premium look to their cars in India. It has so far worked well but Nexon's cheap plastic interiors will not give you that better look and feel as S-cross. But eventually, it's your call so best wishes for your new car.
      I simply brought a Maruti because of its convenience, maintenance and best after sales service. Mileage, as you know, is the best in any Maruti car. I recently got the right fender and whole front bumper painted because of the deep dent. I paid only 1000/- but the Other guy paid 4200/- for his Hyundai car.
      Maruti is Hero Honda Splendor of the cars. :)

    Average is still low and the rear seat leg room is also less.....they could have work on it.....

    I feel Ford India is treading carefully with new Ecosport design so I see minimalist changes inside and outside the vehicle. I guess in the next launch they will roll out some exterior design changes. The rear window design is a concern and I feel they should increase the height of the window.

    Putting a liar to tell you that the 2017 Ford Ekosport is a full-fledged car is criminal... as we see here! I was an idiot who bought this model, where the gearbox broke after 36,000 km... along with the engine mounts! In Thailand, you can just forget about the word "guarantee" - if you do not want to be made a laughing stock ! Guarantee ? This is Thailand, where they dont know the meaning of the word. I lost 580 000 THB to the "back-yard-shop"...

      in our 'stop and go' traffic, the DCTs will wear out the clutch soon.
