That energy boost he brings with the 2nd unit is huge though. They lose that if he starts. He runs 2nd unit its perfect. Edit- could try starting harden with 2nd unit but good luck telling him that too much ego compared to russ

Yes very impressive. Need consistency though you can't look like all NBA 1st team 1 night and a role player for the next few games. Love him not hating at all. Just want to see kawhi and pg make it happen on the clippers. 1 chip is all kawhi needs to get back in the convo. 3 teams 3 finals mvps and bringing first chips to 2 franchises is a serioùs resume than he can walk away. Mind you he could walk now and alot of people would still think he is one of the best ever. Not durability but zaza screwed him. Nobody wants to see kawhi across the floor from them

No doubt but its was also a back to back for the Cavs(lost to lakers) so you might expect them ti run out of gas in the 4th quarter. At least this tim,e the clippers were rested when they played a playoff team. Seems like the Clips had a rough schedule playing some really good teams on the second of back to backs. I guess the schedulers didnt think the TWolves or Thunder were going to be so good this year.

@Gainalytics_ From an effectiveness perspective he was playing like kawhi. Destroying them on offense and getting blocks at the rim. Thats literally kawhis game. Didn't mean he physically looked like him or his play style just effectiveness

The never-ending slander makes you think PG is playing terrible at all times. I saw some impressive stat line in the last game saying PG was average like 25+ something points on 40-something percent 3-point shooting over the last 20 games or so. I forgot the exact numbers, but it was impressive. Some losers are just stuck hating on the man.
For some reason it's just cool to diss one of the most talented guys in the league...certainly top 75 over some of the jokers that were included. Throw in KAI too.

PG took and made some tough shots, he was just too quick for the cavs bigs and too big for the guards. You cant expect that kind of game every night from a 33 year old but he plays both ends like he's 28. Great passing all around against an aggressive defense. Hope that continues when Kawi gets back.
I hope coach Lue learned a lesson today. Let Russ have more minutes late in games. Harden is such a liability on defense. Russ can literally change a game with energy
I think this is the first game Coach Lue went with Russ over Harden but i think a lot of that had to do with PG demanding to stay in the game?
If PG allows the normal rotation, Harden comes in to start the 4th with Russ and we get more of Harden's pace.
It's that Westbrook pace that makes the difference in some games.
Nothing against Harden and slower paced half court basketball.
I just prefer a quicker pace and more uptempo basketball, especially combined with smothering defense which the team played in the second half.
@@sammyslam1 i completely agree in terms of pace. But I also think Lue doesn't trust Russ down the stretch and I understand that he turns the ball over and makes bad plays at times but he can also completely change the game
@@PurpleGengar822 ....which i don't understand at all because Russ was good for The Clippers late last season in closing out games, even without PG on the floor.
Also Russ was really good for them in the postseason even though they only got one win.
Sometimes i think people overrate spacing or the need for spacing.
I guess with Harden as the starter there just isn't anywhere really for Russ to play late 4th qtr.
You're always going to have your three stars(Kahwi, PG, and Harden) on the floor.
Then i guess you generally need one big(Zu or Plumlee) and one consistent shooter(Norm)
My main issue with Coach Lue is that he takes Russ' impact away from him by bringing in Harden to start 2nd and 4th qtrs.
When Kawhi sits it should be PG that comes in, not Harden or if you want another guard, it should be T Mann.
Also he waits too long in the 1st qtrs to add Russ.
I have no problem with Norm coming in first but i think it should Russ so the lineup is: Zu, Kawhi, PG, Mann, and Russ.
Give Russ some minutes with the starting group.
It's hard because you don't want Harden to sit out for too long....
Maybe he should play Harden and Russ together with Kawhi and PG on the floor in the 1st qtr and take out T Mann early?
It would be nice if Russ could get at least 24-28 mins a night!

PG and Harden are still inconsistent regardless. This is a good win and I am happy for PG and Harden to get their form but the playoffs is where the fans need to judge these guys. Regular season they perform but playoffs their inconsistency shows. Hopefully in the playoffs one of them shows up and help kawhi.
