    I recently started getting back into RCT. Back in the old days (early 00s) there were trainers like Beast, 8cars, and DragonsIOA that allowed similar hacks. But nothing to this complexity! This is insane :) thanks for the tutorials! I have to try this out next time I play

    Absolutely fascinating, the combination of tile inspector and plugin to get the ride vehicle height correct is the out-of-the-box thinking and attention to detail that makes me really enjoy your channel. If you don't know how this slide works then it's 100% believable as a ride type in the base game, great job!

  • @ZeldaACFan17

    I wonder if you could make something similar to the ride that Dollywood's Black Bear Trail ride is based on... It's a ride where you ride on an animal, typically a horse, or in Dollywood's case, it's a bear, that goes around a track, but with an added bouncing motion to simulate galloping. It's a quite fun gentle ride 😊

    • @openRCT2tutorials
      @openRCT2tutorials  Před 4 měsíci

      It’s definitely possible. You could use the monster truck ride’s log bumps to get the bouncing motion. You could then use the steeplechase horses or any vehicle. A chain lift on the track would allow for constant speed if desired or you could use a plugin to make the vehicles powered. I kind of show a similar concept in my Kiddie Rides Made Easy tutorial 🙂

    Thank you for the Ride, its really a great Design. I changed Something for my park. I Split the Ride into two. I used the mine train coaster as the Main Ride and the Virginia reel for the Slide-Part. This way I don't have to hear the chain lift all the time 😅

    • @openRCT2tutorials
      @openRCT2tutorials  Před 5 měsíci +1

      That’s a good idea, too. I always play with the sound off so I don’t usually notice. I thought the alpine coaster was generally pretty quiet.

    With the use of plugins, I assume you can't save the layout for later uses? And if so, could it be faster to rebuild having the scsnery tricks to make, while the track copied? (Still did not try advanced layouts and scenery techniques, but anyways! Great job, you revived my love of this game)

    • @openRCT2tutorials
      @openRCT2tutorials  Před 3 měsíci

      I’m so glad I could inspire you! I usually include a saved track design for download for my tutorials where it is easily possible to do so. However, this ride cannot be saved as a track design for later and has to be built from scratch. It’s entirely possible to build it without the scenery manager plugin or even the ride editor plugin, just use the bobsled track or dinghy slide.
      It takes time to learn all these tricks so I hope my tutorials make all of these hacks super easy and approachable since OpenRCT has allowed us to get so much more out of this old game! 😊

    • @openRCT2tutorials

    @DisneyBatchman Před 28 dny

    Well, I've built this in another park again, and I don't know why, but this time it only shows 4 drops, rather than 20, and has really low stats (like 1.64 excitement). This game is weird. Still enjoying it, though!

    • @openRCT2tutorials
      @openRCT2tutorials  Před 28 dny

      Hmm, make sure your station 1 is at the top and station 2 at the bottom on the last track before the return to station 1. Test it before adding in all the copied stations.

    • @openRCT2tutorials
      @openRCT2tutorials  Před 3 měsíci +1

      If you go all the way back to my first videos, there is one called Mirrored Rides. It shows how you can use the tile inspector to copy flat rides, however they will all operate at the same time. It’s just creating a copy of the image basically. Using cheats, you could increase the number of buildings/cars to increase capacity or use a plugin.

    Do you have a trick to make a dual station for a rollercoaster without block brake sections ? I have been trying for days now, but I can't get it to work. I have seen a way buy Oli414, but that is almost 4 years ago and done with the advanced track plugin, but he only shows it with block brake sections, and I don't want to use block brake sections in my ride...Can you please help me out ?

    • @openRCT2tutorials
      @openRCT2tutorials  Před 4 měsíci

      The only dual station method I know of is the one you mentioned by Oli414 with his plugin. You could try using the plugin without block brakes but you’d have to be careful that the trains don’t dispatch together.

  • @DisneyBatchman
    @DisneyBatchman Před 2 měsíci +1

    Here's another warning!!!! If you are trying to build this in one of the original scenarios where the base land is set at -5 feet, it won't let you build this, as it says the track goes too low. I'm gonna have to raise the entire land the slide is going to be on, to allow this to fit, and start over. Ouch! Why'd the original idiots make the base land at -5 feet, anyway???

    • @openRCT2tutorials
      @openRCT2tutorials  Před 2 měsíci

      Yes, it is a problem if the land is too low, however, you don't have to follow my design underground. You could connect all of the tracks without going so deep. I just chose that method in the example because it was easy to copy and paste.

    • @DisneyBatchman
      @DisneyBatchman Před 2 měsíci

      @@openRCT2tutorials This one was difficult. More difficult than anything else but the Parachute Jump. I got it finished, though. Since this a slide, not a full-blown ride, I made the alpine cars invisible, so you (mostly) only see the peeps. Also, I learned a thing here. Don't try and move the entrance/exit until the absolute very end. About six times in a row, I would move the entrance and exit, then try and put the ride in test, just to be told I couldn't test the ride because there was no entrance/exit. In trying to test, it would remove the entrance/exit. Gotta put it in final test before you move those! But I got it done, and finally working. Also did the madcap, but it was one of the easiest.

    • @openRCT2tutorials
      @openRCT2tutorials  Před 2 měsíci
