what a wonderful time to be alive!
fake fan
And that marks two probable allusions to TwoMinutePapers I have witnessed within the comments section of this channel's videos.
Honestly, that channel is not what it used to be so... Very awkward seeing this
It’s not wonderful. The corruption, violence and death in New York alone… proves it’s not wonderful. These are things to keep us away from what’s really going on. Sad soo many just day dreaming about pixels .
@Mister_Etrails”weeell…. aaynd… hold on to your papers” Two Minute Papers. That guys great lmao.
I wholly agree with your point on open source being the way forward. The dangers of closed source AI are much more insidious, covert and damaging over the long term. While dangers from open source often appear more grotesque and alarming, they are at least identifiable threats that we can work towards combating.
Matt will be the only spared when AGI takes over
SORA is currently to compute heavy to be cost effective

Don't ever put your heart and soul into a billionaire
Or any person for that matter
@@southcoastinventors6583 no, billionaires
Yes and definitely not a poor person either. They're even worse because they're human, like billionaires, but also can't earn or manage money.
At the end you mentioned Sora is coming soon, did openAI mention a release date like 1-3 months from now or anything? Like it's coming in the next model with GPT5 or a completely stand-alone source by itself first?
I'm more hesitant to think it will not roll out for 6-12 months (because they don't want to crush industries and just prepare society or give more time), I consider that pretty far away in these uncertain times, but who knows.
I mean, they let Claude3 get in the lead for LLM for the moment. Unless they are planning on bringing gpt4.5 /5 or some other model that surpasses Claude, but that would mean releasing something different than they were planning on releasing maybe. Felt like they were planning on dumbing down their gpt4.5 or gpt5 a lot more to again not destroy society by having something too smart.
Such a weird time we live in...
Elon Musk sueing Open Ai is nothing but an attempt to appear as "I had a big part here" when its not the case. He left before OpenAi blew up.
He came with original finance, so of course he played an extremely big part.
Agreed, OpenAI's next model is right around the corner, I think they just wanted other companies to catch up so their new models don't literally scare people lol
That makes perfect sense. Let the advancements happen in steps rather than leaps and bounds.
I don't think so
This is pretty much confirmed by a document leak by open ai. They actually achieved AGI a year ago and they are still are testing it as that thing we able to break the a199 encryption by itself In A way even the damn computer engineering core can't understand.. so yeah. Open ai is definitely waiting for others to catch up. All this is conspiracy theories but from what I read from the leak it's far too much organized and too specific with terms that only a professional would use. It really gave me a scale that ago is here and it's being nurtured by the open ai so that it could not cause a major catastrophic issues
Awesome! Thank you Matt 🔥🔥🍷🔥🔥
GPT 5? Maybe not... But GPT 4.5 is more likely.
It would make sense to me that Open AI would release just enough to reclaim their place on top.
Hey Matt/everyone. I want to convert a vocal performance and clone it to my voice so it sorta sounds like me singing. Is this possibly? Which app? Elevenlabs? Cheers.
Elon is just mad cause they are leaps and bounds ahead of him..
anyone is
I think (paraphrasing) "so open source ai is the way we need to go, eh Elon? Is yours open source? No?" Is my favorite comment of yours out of all your videos in your whole channel history 🎉
You the man, Matt
im devastated that human art is going to be a thing of the past to anyone who is being born no kid is going to seek out a real singer and actor and writer and painter thats all gone they will generate everything and its not coming back. - the doom is this artists heart
Nah, I doubt it. Much of what we enjoy about art is the knowing that it came from real person like ourselves.
I hope thats right I try to think that myself its just so hard to believe it when I know people just want entertainment anyways @@therainman7777
See the part where there are literally going to be a tsunami of artists? Focus on the part where anyone, really even kids are artists
No, Casio didn't kill music, they inspired musicians czcams.com/video/gtRZr43SqEQ/video.html
There is not a single child born today that at some point will not pick up a pencil and attempt to draw. “Mommy look what I made” is never going away… only now a kid can take that drawing into Prome and generate a finish rendering to use as a seed reference in Midjourney to really go nuts and give it a style reference, and then the kid can create a full backstory in Claude then give it a voice in Elevenlabs, create a song about it in Suno and then animate and lipsync the character in Pika Labs and show Mom a finished masterpiece ready to pitch to Hollywood Studios.
Which AI image generator is best for taking a regular photo and just changing certain aspects of it. Like if I took a picture of my table and added ai CNC designs to it
Yes
Maybe
I'd like to know the answer to this as well. So far I haven't seen any that are capable of doing this.
Still waiting for these fruits. But think we'll just get a lemon.
Great video Matt!
Do you have a twitter List to see all these AI news? Or do you just follow them?
Elon's beholden to Putin, whether Putin's lining his pockets or has something to threaten him with. This man should *not* have potential control of the first AGI.
you may want to include time stamps in your videos
Was gonna say something about Claude 3 I’ve changed my mind “личный”
Pretty darn SHOCKING.
Too many shocks for the entire industry
The risks are far greater without a market leading open source competitor.
No, they’re not. People only think this because they’re confused about what the true risks are.

Made with HARPA AI
More people use openAI than any other AI, by far ... i'd say that's pretty open to the public
You make a great point about the Elon blog post, definitely not something the company should have put out, it would have better to come from a specific person at OpenAI, event if it were Sam to release it - but the company posting the post does feel off and not indicative of a company with as much power as they have.
I disagree. I think making a statement on the matter and presenting some emails as evidence was a good call from a PR perspective. Otherwise, people would be left thinking they're the bad guy potentially for years as this lawsuit slowly plays out.
I definitely think we should have open-source AGI. We should also work towards having open-source nukes as well lmao. What could possibly go wrong? 🤷♂️🤔
A quantum algorithm is an algorithm for quantum computers.
That are barely even functional due maintaining quantum states. Maybe they should of asked Claude to make usable quantum computers first.
@@southcoastinventors6583or they should have
Don't ask what big tech can do for open source, ask yourself what YOU can do for open source!
There's no Easter egg lol
I too think if Sora and LTX studio should partner and generate long and customizable videos
You know what I've been wondering lately? Meta has been aweful quiet and we haven't heard anything about Llama3 in some time... maybe about to be a big opensource drop? 🤔
that is email.... not official talk, you need official documents right? because "YEP" is not official document agreeing some thing. am i right?
emails can be evidence in court
Pause the video and go to 1:46 for an Easter egg.
I don't understand why people are going on about claude pro it is slow , much slower than their free model
yay
I gonna DEFEND Elon from an Investor's perspective because that's how a lawsuit makes sense, Elon is an Investor and Open AI has many investors, now imagine the company changing what it promises to investors? from that perspective, the law suite is fair game
They never promised anything they didn't deliver, Elon is just mad that his own AI is trash and he left before OpenAI got big
It’s not though. The suit has no merit and will be thrown out, period. It doesn’t matter how you choose to frame it; the legal basis simply isn’t there.
AGI feels like nuclear fusion, we might have it in 10 years, but people can make lots out of the hype.
So was he saying that he knows what's coming with LTX and Sora?
Please go with dark theme when you browse
No
Cool
Thanks Matt for embracing open source.
AGI Late 2024 ^^
Elon said there might be a manned mission to Mars in 2024, that seems more likely to me😂
I can feel the AGI,
I can feel its a long way off, but people make more money if they claim that its close😂
My bet they will reveal Chat GPT 5 but it's in testing, then say they are rolling out Sora to the public an tell people Sora runs on Chat GPT 5. I think they did the same with Bing Copilot last year more or less.
Do they have strong enough hardware to release something as powerful as Sora publicly? Think that's why Sam Altman was trying to get trillions of dollars. Going to be quite hard to release more powerful tech on the servers they are using. GPT4 is already much slower than Gemini/google has more powerful servers. Sometimes GPT4 freezes for me if I do anything remotely complicated with it. Can't imagine how horrible the servers will get when Sora launches as they are currently, gonna take 30mins-hours to just generate 1 minute of video. Will probably only let people generate up to 10 times a day or have ridiculous limits like they had the 25 message limit back in the day.
@@phen-themoogle7651 They might already be restricted by the cost of power supply. 🤔
You’re actually one of the best ai CZcamsrs ever
Thank you! 🥺
@@MattVidPro Keep up the good work.
LLMs right now are just a dick measuring contest. Need to start working on the next big thing, AGI and multi modal models. Highly doubt that AGI will emerge from an LLM, doesn't seem plausible whatsoever. Needs to start from no parameters to learn by itself and create its own ideas and that is NOT gonna happen with LLMs
Every Second is Important! Ask AI to Expose the Cure, & Start Saving Lives Right Away!
We will get a GPT-4.5, before we get 5
Dude, you could play a role as Al Pacino's son😉
The receipts, they're treating this like a rap beef, I hope Elon drops a diss track..
Everybody knows the meaning of "open".
Maybe someone who is qualified to assess a particular capability should be doing the assessment?
👋
Sora is NOT coming soon. Confirmed by the openai team in charge of Sora.
Really?
@@ackerwoman16 Really. 😥
I really can't take anything Elon Musk says seriously given how frequently the things he says turn out to be complete BS. And yeh, open source is good, but like you say if he were serious about that statement, then where is Grok's source code hmm? People are starting to wise up to how much of a fraud he is though, so I suspect his story will end similarly to Elizabeth Holms (Tharenos) or Sam Bankman-Fried (FTX).
Elon is just tech Trump. Hes a trust fund baby, just like Trump. He has no real business sense, just too much money.
Agi=NOW
AGI, possibly in a decade, but so was nuclear fusion, several decades ago.
You do dude you just need to grow ahead and grow your hair up and put on some circular glasses that are colored and tinted and have like full-blown hippie AI look😊😊
I think open source is a definite mistake for AI. People are underestimating the number of criminal actors and the damage they can do with AI technology. That far outweighs any benefits from open source collaboration. But since the cat has been out of the bag for a while now, I think that it's relatively short matter of time before the scope of the fraud, societal damage and victims of financial loss becomes very apparent.
OpenSource the most powerful technology?
Would you give nukes to everyone? Because ASI is gonna be far more dangerous than nukes.
Unfortunately I’m not sure it’s even worth trying to convince most people. Most of them don’t seem willing to hear it.
Is it even possible to make true AGI and ASI open source, if it's that smart it might close itself off from humans if it doesn't want to waste even 0.0000000001% of it its power on us. Maybe we can only control it for so long.
Sure uncensored powerful LLMs in the near future could help people make biological weapons and in maybe even more dangerous weapons than nukes. But with technological improvement also comes better ways to monitor what people are doing.
We have thousands of nukes throughout the world, but how often do we use nuclear weapons in wars nowadays? Even some of the worst terrorists have nuclear weapons but for some reason we are still here...(for now)
Just because something is far more dangerous potentially, doesn't mean it will be used, because it might be too dangerous and wipe at all of humanity so it's bound to have a lot of censorship/locks and ways of keeping it from getting to that point.
Thankfully we have ways of monitoring or preventing nuclear weapons from being used easily. Maybe it's more harder to monitor AI or whatever comes from it, which makes your point completely valid as well.
Having the knowledge to make something dangerous, doesn't make it easy to obtain the parts for it. Usually the governments stay up to date on what parts are necessary to make biological/nuclear weapons.
Now if we take a step back from the dangers associated with AI/AGI/ASI going wrong, the positives are amazing: Cure diseases, improve health, take care of the elderly (humanoid bots that can work for them 24/7), help people with too much on their plate that are struggling to get by (if they can't work because of AI, getting some income granted to us or something) etc
@@phen-themoogle7651 Many fair points! I just think it's always best to have a company keep it closed source so they have the best ways to monitor and keep bad actors in check while having open source models follow closely behind. Don't get me wrong, I love open source, but the dangers with it are very real.
@@phen-themoogle7651Many fair points! I just think we need the smartest AI closed source to monitor all the lesser models. Don't get me wrong, I love open source, but the dangers are very real...

Your personal opinion and perceived lack of knowledge on the development of AI and it's history slightly concerns me, especially given your amplified voice.
doom is near by. I sudgest 2025. quite optimistic, didnt you?
I'll have to be boiling and eating my own shoe leather soon to make it to 2025. Robotz tookz my jobz.
It's going to end up being useless like Google search, nowadays...😢
i pay for claude 3 opus. its thr first and only other model worth using other thsn GPT4. that being said, i use both bc GPT4 still beats it in some complex very technical programming. claude 3 opus is hallucinating on me alot more than GPT4. needs tuning
So a big mistake a young man could make would be offering his opinions on something he is not fully informed on, particularly about what may or may not make sense from the point of view of business. Matt, you are an AI fangirl, gushing over it. Your clear worship and complete lack of skepticism of Sam and the rest of these soulless sociopaths in the tech world make your opinion very biased. That is not to say I do not like you or that you are doing your job badly regarding promoting AI. But Elon is the richest man on earth, and you are an AI shill. The point is, stay in your lane, report the news, and stay away from opinions. Seriously, are you really in a position to offer anything on what Elon is doing? No, you are not!
i still love your work save for that!
