  • Are you ready to pot your tissue cultures in a chunky soil blend? Here you will find Orange Lake Nursery planting a new Monstera Thai Constellation in their Chunky Soil blend. Here is how we do it!
Plant your tissue culture in a 2-inch plastic pot using the chunky medium of your choice, giving the plantlets a good drink of water before enclosing them. Allow the water to drain before sealing the container. The medium that we use on all tissue cultures is included in our acclimation kits. It is a blend of chunky coco husk, fine coco husk, & perlite.
Each jungle is different! There are plenty of different mediums that will work great! Finding which medium works best for you can be a challenge. Once you find the right blend, it is smooth sailing!

If my average humidity is 81% according to the weather station 8 feet above my roof, would I need the dome for humidity?

Great question! Yes absolutely. They will need to be in 100% humidity for about a week. You will still need humidity domes :-)
