Hello all and welcome to this speed test comparison between the Apple iPhone 13 and Pixel 8A in this episode we will compare both phones by putting them through a variety of tests to help you see which one is actually faster. iPhone 13 features an Apple A15 Bionic Chip, 4GB of ram. The Pixel 7A features a Tensor G3 processor, and 8GB of ram, and also comes with Android 14. Thanks for the review. I am considering the 8a as my secondary Android phone. I would like to mention, however, that comparing which apps are reloaded doesn't make any sense because it's just how iOS works regardless of the RAM size. It kills the apps that stay in the background for a certain time and allows those apps to have only some data refreshed through the Background Refresh feature.

it houses the latest flagship processor from google what is so unexpected. Actually its the other way around the iPhone is more impressive as it is a almost 3 year old phone

@@davidingo3545Everybody knows that bionic chips are very powerful and iphone 13 have bionic a15 and not to mention that it's more powerful in raw performance than the regular g3 in pixel 8 pro and in 8a it's underclocked version of g3 but who cares.. app speed comparisons are the worst comparisons I've ever seen like who really cares if the app is taking extra 0.2 sec to open and ganes taking 2-3 secs more if you're going to play a game that means you want ro timepaas so who cares about extra sec of load time when you're there to waste your time ?..

Hey Nick! I just wanted to give you a little tip for your next speed test with iphones, when you boot up you don't need to actually hold the power button on iphones, just press it one time! Try that in your next video!

In your last videos the iphone was opening subway surfers normally but the oixel was in tutorial mode
Generally when it’s your first time opening an app it’s slower

@@nickackermanchannel I am fully in that Apple Eco-System so changing to Android will probably feel „wrong“ since i tested Android at the beginning of this year on a S22 Ultra. I came back to iOS very quick because i like the clean and „smart“ Software. What I mean is that they in my opinion never put anything useless or „just for fun“ into it. Clean and productive is my way to go. So i really dont know. The Battery on the SE2020 is enough for me to go through a full day actually. I am just a little scared of my phone dying when im out late at evening...

In our household, I have the 8A and the rest the iPhone 13 lol. I have nothing against any of these phones.

3:22 although the iPhone 13 screen is a 60hz panel, it is definitely smoother and more consistent while scrolling when compared to the 8a
in Germany with Trade in Pixel 8a is ~ 250e iphone 13 ~ 500e do the math your self, pixel 8a for me in white .
just to point out half th video is a bit out of focus. also i think the reason why the pixel did better even with a weaker chip is more ram 4gb is a bit of a struggle the 12 pro should do better against the 8a
interesting how iphone in Geekbench beats pixel but pixel just laugh at iphone when it's comes to multitasking and opening apps

This speed test doesn't show that the Pixel 8a has double the amount of RAM and an extra 3 core processor compared to the iPhone 13.
12 is far better than 13 in terms of performance...13 and 14 are very poor is thermals

Me personally I’d go with the 8a over the iPhone 13. It has a high refresh rate, longer support, is $100 cheaper and to me apps load faster on android than iPhone. People whine about bezels but I don’t care as long as it works well. Case and point, less bezels on the iPhone 13 but that awful notch lol 😂. I swear people prioritize the wrong things.

@@_WF23 CPU wise A17 Pro is still faster than 8 gen 3. Where snapdragon beats it is the gpu performance.
@jacobglass2951 actually the snapdragon 8 gen3 also beats the a17pro in multicore performance as well.
Test the phones without WiFi so we can see the RAW PERFORMANCE.

Lol yes the iPhone has slightly smaller bezels but a notch (and dynamic island) is way more intrusive to the viewing experience.

No thanks the whole time you were scrolling on pixel it was laggy worse than 30 hz lol I see no 120 hz advantage just like most android, iPhone 60 is is still miles better and only comparable with flagship 120 hz
Another thing is all these comparison compare phone straight after restarting the phone but in iOS you have to open the app at least twice after restarting to get real speed cause apps refreshes
